Fix Google Assistant screenshot settings

If the Google Assistant won’t take screenshots, try these steps to fix the issue:

Step 1: Check your Android settings

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications and then Advanced and then Default apps and then Assist & voice input.
  3. Turn on Use screenshot.

Step 2: Check your Assistant settings

  1. On your phone or tablet, touch and hold the Home button.
  2. In the bottom right, tap Explore.
  3. In the top right, tap your profile picture or initial.
  4. Tap Settings and then Assistant.
  5. Under “Assistant devices,” tap your device.
  6. Under “General,” turn on Use screen context.
