Make reservations with the Google Assistant

You can have the Google Assistant make restaurant reservations for you. If an online booking service isn't available, the Google Assistant will call the restaurant for you and request a reservation.

Important: Remember to cancel the reservation if you don't want the table anymore.

To make reservations, you must use the Google Assistant in English. For now, this feature doesn’t work in certain locations.

Make a booking

When Google Assistant makes a reservation, it shares necessary info, like your first name, last name, or phone number.

1. On your Android phone, touch and hold the Home button or say "Hey Google."
2. Say a request, for example:
   • "Book a table at [restaurant name]."
   • "Make me a reservation at [restaurant name]."
3. When prompted, give more details, like the date and time you want.
4. Tap Confirm.
   • When your reservation is confirmed, you get a notification and email.

Tip: You can also ask Google Assistant to make a reservation on your Smart Display.

Find or cancel a booking

1. On your Android phone, touch and hold the Home button or say "Hey Google."
2. Say or type "My reservations."
   • Find status: Find the booking.
   • Cancel: Tap the booking See details Cancel reservation. Follow the instructions.

Delete booking history

You can remove a booking from your Google Assistant history. This action won’t cancel the booking.

1. On your Android phone, touch and hold the Home button or say "Hey Google."
2. In the bottom right, tap .
3. In the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Settings You Reservations.
4. Tap the booking you want to delete.
5. Tap Remove reservation.

Tip: You can only delete bookings that are confirmed. Your booking can take up to 72 hours to finalize.
