Create or edit notes on your speaker or Smart Display

Important: You can’t create new Family Notes, but you can still view and save existing notes.

Step 1: Turn on personalization

When this setting is on, Google Assistant can read info like your shopping list and help you with payments.

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app Google Home.
  2. At the bottom, tap Home Home and then Settings Settings.
  3. Under “Features,” tap Google Assistant and then Personal results.
  4. Edit settings.

Step 2: Set a default notes service

  1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app Google Home.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings.
  3. Tap Notes & Lists.
  4. To set a default service, under "Select your notes & lists provider," tap a service.
  5. To confirm, tap Continue.

Any new notes created with your Google Assistant will be visible on your default note service.

Any notes you created with your Google Assistant before you set a default note service won’t be available on that service.
