Important update:
Last September, Tables beta launched in Area 120, Google's in-house incubator for experimental projects, with the goal of proving market demand for a solution to help teams organize and track work, and it was a success! Google Cloud has committed to investing in this product area long-term. Moving forward, the beta version of Tables will still be available until we release a fully-supported Google Cloud product – which we expect to complete in the next year.
Accessing Tables
You can access the beta version of Tables at any of the following links:
- tables.area120.google.com
- tables.new (creates new blank workspace)
Restrictions
While in Beta, Tables has several restrictions on use and access at this time:
- Tables is currently only available in the U.S.
- Tables is not supported for organizations designated as K-12 institutions.
- Tables does not support accounts for children.
- Tables will not be accessible if your domain administrator blocks access.
- Through the Workspace admin console, Tables Beta access is governed via its own control. Learn more about turning Tables on or off for your organization here. In addition, admins can manage core data access for Tables. By default access is allowed, however, Core data access is disabled. This means that features such as Sheets import/export or the Drive column type will be disabled by default.
