You can share workspaces or tables with other collaborators to work together. NOTE: you can only share with users who have a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite).
Sharing a workspace
When viewing a workspace, you can share the workspace with others by clicking on the “Share” button in the top right corner of the app bar:
Important note: workspaces and tables have separate sharing permissions. This allows someone to share a workspace with a collaborator, without needing to share all the tables within the workspace (see Adding tables to workspaces).
When sharing your workspace with other collaborators, there is a checkbox option to add the new collaborators to all tables in the workspace, which makes it easier to share the workspace AND the tables within the workspace at the same time.
- When this option is checked, only the tables you can edit within the workspace will be affected.
- To share a workspace without sharing all the tables within it, you can uncheck the checkbox option.
When modifying the permission for a collaborator, by default the option to apply changes to all tables in the workspace is checked. You can uncheck this option to only change the permissions for the workspace.
Sharing a table
You can view an individual table without the workspace, by navigating to the table from the home page > Tables navigation bar, or by opening a table via the table-specific url that you can copy from the table-level sharing dialog:

When viewing an individual table, you can also share the table with others by clicking on the “Share” button in the top right corner of the app bar:
When sharing a table from within a workspace, you can adjust sharing settings for an individual table by right-clicking on the table tab or clicking the three-dot menu button when hovering over the table tab in the workspace, and selecting the “Share table” menu option:
