Deleting workspaces and tables

There are 3 types of “removal” actions that can happen for workspaces or tables:

  1. Permanent deletion -- the workspace or table is deleted entirely and data is wiped out. Users will be unable to find or access the workspace or table anymore. Deleted tables are removed from all workspaces they were included in. If you delete a workspace without deleting the tables in the workspace, you can still find the tables on your homepage via the “All Tables” navigation menu item.
  2. Removed for workspace -- a table is removed from the workspace and no longer shows up for any user who views the workspace (table can be added back in again). If the removed table is included in other workspaces, those other workspaces are unaffected.
  3. Removed from homepage -- the workspace or table is removed from the current user’s homepage and no longer shows up in recent files (until the next time they open it). This has no visible effect on other users.

Only the original creator (aka owner) of a workspace or table is able to permanently delete it. Editors of a workspace are able to remove tables from the workspace. All users are able to curate and remove workspaces or tables from their homepage.
