Choose the launch page for an app

To choose the launch page, or starting view, for an app: 

  1.  Open the app in the app editor.
  2. Go to Settings > Views: General.
  3. Set the Starting view field to the view by doing one of the following:
    • Select a view from the drop-down.
    • Click the expression (flask) toggle and enter an expression to be evaluated at runtime.
  4. Optionally, to display the About page the first time a user opens an app enable the Start with About option.
  5. When you are done, save the app by selecting one of the following:
    • Save - Save the app.
    • Save & verify data - Save the app and verify that it is runnable based on external dependencies.
We've made some improvements to the app editor.
You are opted in to the new editor by default, but you can switch back to the legacy editor at any time.
 

If you are using the legacy editor

 To choose the launch page for an app: 

  1. Open the app in the app editor.
  2. Select UX > Options.
  3. Set the Starting view field to the view to use for the launch page:
    • Select a view from the drop-down.
    • Click the expression (flask) toggle and enter an expression to be evaluated at runtime.
  4. Optionally, to display the About page the first time a user opens an app enable the Start with About option.
  5. When you are done, save the app by selecting one of the following:
    • Save - Save the app.
    • Save & verify data - Save the app and verify that it is runnable based on external dependencies.
