While the majority of lessons will be available on the new platform, there are some that will be deprecated for quality purposes. All supplemental lesson materials (i.e. lesson plans, rubrics, etc) will remain available for migrated lessons.
What happens after the transition date?
After June 30, 2025, the old Applied Digital Skills website will no longer be available and will automatically redirect to the new Google for Education Learning Center. All accounts and data will be deleted, and you will be encouraged to create a new account on the new platform.
Will Applied Digital Skills lessons still be free of charge?
Yes, Applied Digital Skills lessons will continue to be offered free of charge on the new platform.
Will I still be able to manage my classes and track student progress?
Over the years, we've learned that many of you primarily use Applied Digital Skills lessons with Google Classroom or another Learning Management System. To simplify your experience and avoid having two separate class management systems, the current Applied Digital Skills dashboard and class management features won't be available on the new Google for Education Learning Center. You'll still be able to easily share lesson links with your students through Google Classroom, other learning management systems, or by directly sharing the lesson links. This will allow you to integrate Applied Digital Skills seamlessly into your existing teaching workflow.
Will the new platform work with Google Classroom?
The new platform won't integrate directly with Google Classroom, however, you can add Applied Digital Skills lesson links into your Google Classroom assignments (or your favorite Learning Management System!), enabling you to use grading tools and streamline your workflow with your existing Learning Management System.
