Can't change assistant language for my Huawei Watch 2 0 Recommended Answers 0 Answers 15 Replies 1 Me Too

In the assistant language option for my Android Wear 2 smartwatch there's a selection of different language options and 'English (US)' is selected. When I try to change it to 'English (UK)' or any other language it won't stay and switches back to US. Tried to reset my watch to make sure that UK English is selected in the initial setup, but it didn't help. My phone's language is English UK too. Is this a bug?

Is this happening with which watch and paired to which phone?
You should be able to unpair and pair again and choose English UK as language. Also, it is recommended that both your watch and phone are set in same locale.

I'm using my Huawei Watch 2 with Samsung S7 Edge running 7.0 Nougat. I tried to un-pair it and pair it again but made no difference. Both ,my phone and watch was set up to use English UK. I don't know whether it's a bug or maybe Assistant in English UK has not rolled out for Android Wear watches.

So the watch and phone are supposed to match one another.  If you have your phone set to English (UK), your phone should be that way as well.  This definitely sounds like a bug, especially with multiple of you having the issue.  You can start by submitting feedback on your phone using the Android Wear app (go to the side menu and select help and feedback).  Also, they may need more info from you, so keep an eye out for any message you receive from Ernest or any Google employee.

I have the same issue with a Fossil Q Explorist and my ZTE Axon 7 .
I switched to German and the menu only stays at that whilst the page is open, if I close the page and open it again, its English (US) again (which I never used)

Hey Jan,

Please go through the process of changing the language again, and if it reverts back to English, submit feedback using the Android Wear app on your phone.  Open the app on your phone, open the side menu, select help and feedback, then send feedback.  That's the best way to get logs with info about the issue to the Android Wear team.  Don't expect to hear back from them unless they need more info from you.

The other weird thing is that the assistant on the Watch is not talking back to me anymore as well. I reset & re-paired it now, still no dice.

I created the original post and I just want to confirm that the problem with my Huawei Watch 2 and S7 Edge is still ongoing, I reported it many times using the Android Wear app feedback option but haven't got any reply so far. Who must I contact to investigate this issue further?

I have a Casio Pro Trek Smart wsd f20. At first use, I have set the language to Chinese. How can I switch to English? I had tried to restart it, but the menu is in Chinese.
