The Save to Android Pay Merchant Center

The Save to Android Pay Merchant Center helps you manage your loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers that your customers can save to Android Pay. Once you have been approved for API access you’ll set up your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account, then your service account.

Set up your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account

Follow these steps to set up your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center:

  1. Respond to our email and provide your Google Account login email address. You’ll use this to access the Save to Android Pay Merchant Center and the Google API Console.

    If you're an aggregator, you can use the same Google account for multiple clients, as long as you do not share this Google Account with your clients. You can use the same Google Account to create multiple API projects and / or service accounts.

  2. We’ll send an email to the Google Account specified in your request. Follow the link in the email and you will be directed to your new Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account.
Note: You can find the Issuer ID you’ll use to make REST API calls in the “Account Management” section of the Save to Android Pay Merchant Center.

Set up your service account

Once you’ve created your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account, create a service account in the Google Cloud console. This service account will be linked to your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account in order to start calling to the Save to Android Pay API. Follow these instructions to create your service account

Once your service account has been created, link your service account to your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account by using the share functionality.

  1. Open your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account
  2. In the Account Management section, click Share.

  3. Enter the service account email address in the invite box. You can also use the share functionality to grant access to other users that will manage your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account.
  4. Under Who has access, set permissions to Can edit or Owner, then click Share
  5. Click Save.

    Note: If you set the permissions to "Can view," you won’t be able to make any calls to the API. You can also use the share functionality to grant access to other users that will manage your Save to Android Pay Merchant Center account.

You are now able to integrate the Save to Android Pay API and enable your customers to begin using your loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers in your stores.

If you're an aggregator, each of your clients will need an individual service account to be created in the API console.
