Spotify on Android Auto: "Liked songs" can't be played anymore. 🚫

Everytime I try to play "Liked songs" on Spotify, the leading screen doesn't end. I tried it many times: the other day, rebooted my phone etc. All other apps work, all other playlists work. Just my "Liked songs" won't play anymore.

Can verify that I have the same exact issue.  2019 RAM 1500 8.4in uconnect. Spotify Liked Songs just loads forever when accessed from either the home screen or from the playlist section.  The app it's self works fine.  I have tried reinstalling android auto.  Really don't want to reinstall spotify as that means redownloading thousands of songs.

I have same issue on Samsung Galaxy s8+. I've deleted all my data and reinstalled everything twice. I think there was an update to the UI recently and my other playlists work. I have a feeling it's just that the liked playlist is so long and it's trying to load all the thumbnails for the entire playlist. I've tried letting it load for 10-15 minutes but it never does. I can play my liked songs if I start it from my phone.

I have the same issue with a Galaxy S9 Plus and Spotify. If I try to play the "Liked Songs" playlist then it will just load forever and never play. The only work around that I've found is that you can start the playlist before plugging your phone in, and then it will continue to play once plugged in. It is super inconvenient as there is no other way to play just downloaded songs.

The thing is, it use to work up until 2 months ago. Now, all other playlists are working besides the liked songs

This problem also started happening to me last week. I am not driving much due to corona, so it could have happened a few weeks earlier.
All of my other playlists work fine, but for some reason my liked songs playlist never finishes loading.

I have this same problem as well with a custom version of android auto. Liked songs playlist won't finish loading after selected, everything else is fine.

Same problem on galaxy S8+ and 2018 Subaru Impreza head unit. Selecting liked songs just opens to a screen with a loading wheel that lasts forever. Works fine on the phone. Other playlists also work fine on the head unit. Just liked songs, which are the only ones downloaded on the phone, don't work.

Same issue here Galaxy S8 Honda CRV head unit.
There is no bug report to share, you tap liked songs and it's keeps giving you the spinning circle forever. Clear cache on both Spotify and AA doesn't work, neither does a reinstall. Spotify app on the phone loads the playlist just fine. The issue is only through android auto. Please resolve

Same issue here on Samsung Galaxy S7.

It worked fine two days ago but after liking a song in Spotify in Android Auto it suddenly stopped working. Now I just get the green loading circle of death when selecting Liked songs.

Normal Spotify app works fine with no problems.

Some more details I just figured out:

This error seems to be connected to the Spotify account. I just tried my wife's login on my phone and her Liked Songs is working fine in Android Auto, just as it used to be.

After logging in again with my account, I get the loading circle error and nothing happens.

It looks like there has to be one action in Spotify on Android Auto which breaks the Liked Songs playlist on your account.

I reported this to Spotify weeks ago.    They had me log into a test account -- the problem persisted.   I was able to narrow it down to user generated playlists with over 300-something songs on it.

Still not fixed.   Still can't play my liked songs.   I miss the old days of real support.
