Android Auto Rejecting all calls while driving for no apparent reason.

1 Recommended Answer 9 Replies 99 Upvotes Started a few weeks ago. No changes to phone settings at all. While driving AA will automatically send all calls to Voicemail. The screen starts to transition to the call screen on the dash but immediately cancels and the call is rejected. I have reset my cars infotainment and factory reset my phone. I have also gone through all related settings in my phone. No settings are activated that would cause such behavior. Would really like to test the new AA update that's forthcoming. Maybe it doesn't have this bug.

Kristian - factory reset your headunit from the settings menu in the car - fixed it for me.

Thanks for reaching out. Is the issue only happening while using Android Auto? Could you see if calls are also rejecting on while using Android Auto on phone mode only? Thanks!

I will also suggest you have a look on your phones do not disturb settings. Android Auto will usually switch the phone to DND mode when it's running. It is possible that your do not disturb settings include call rejection, which will explain this behaviour.

Paul: The issue occurs only when i am connected to my car. Whether it be via bluetooth only - using the mazda connect infotainment software or when AA is active. When i am connected to a bluetooth headset there are no issues with incoming calls. If i activate AA on the phone only (not connected to the car), there are no issues with incoming calls either.
Emile: Do not disturb does get activated with AA in Priority mode. The phone call settings are set to allow calls "from anyone" and there are no settings enabled blocking notifications. Do not disturb is activated both when connected to the car or running AA on the phone only and connected to a different bluetooth headset. Calls are only rejected when connected to the car though(bluetooth only or Bluetooth/AA) - no issues using AA on the phone with a bluetooth headset, calls come in no problem. .

When you do the factory reset, does it remove AA ?
