Hi everyone,

And it’s back! We have our annual developer conference, Google I/O 2019 starting today, and the Android Auto team will be there!  :)

Check out Android Auto’s new look where Rod, one of our Product Managers and community members, shared the sneak peek of Android Auto in I/O 2019.

If you're attending I/O, watch our Automotive session at Google I/O on May 7th at 4:00pm PST. Visit the Android Developer Blog for more details about the session and features we have for developers.

Have questions about developing your app for the car? Please come by our office hours hosted by the Android Auto team on May 8th at 2:30pm PST / May 9th at 11:30am PST.

If you're not at I/O, you can still catch the livestream of the session.

We'll share event recap with you here in our community.

Stay tuned!

Hi Paul. Any chance of developing better contrast when using Google Maps on the Car Screen, to navigate?
Maps are very pale in colour and it is difficult to see individual roads.
Would also be great if the green navigation "box" on the left hand side could be adjusted

Hej Øyvind og Håkan - i kan hente den på APK Mirror. Har gjort det i Danmark og det fungerer som det skal, selv med dansk sprog!

1) STOP MOVING THE BUTTONS. When you move the button, you tacidly admit that it wasn't in a good spot to begin with, which begs the question: why did you put it there to begin with? No one gives a shit about making it look "sleeker". I have enough things to juggle in an ever changing world. I don't need an update to where the buttons are on my apps. I will NEVER need an update to where the buttons are.
2) Song information STILL peeks over the map and blocks actual useful information. Why can't I turn this annoying feature off?
