Error message: N/A
Were you able to connect to Android Auto prior to the issue?  Yes
Car / head unit make & model:  2016 Honda Civic, 2017 Honda CRV, and 2019 Honda Civic
if you use Android Auto on your car display: Yes
Phone make & model: Pixel 3 XL
Android OS version: 9 (April 5, 2019 Security Patch)
Android Auto app version: 4.1.590944-release (March 18, 2019)
Google Play services version: 16.0.89 (100400-239467275)

Was able to connect to both the 2016 Honda Civic and 2017 Honda CRV previously.  Around the end of February/early March time frame, connection to the 2016 Honda Civic was intermittent.

Suspecting a cable issue, I tried a new cable.  The connectivity was still intermittent and eventually stopped working all together.

I attempted to connect to the 2017 Honda CRV without success with any of the three cables I had.

I performed a factory reset on the phone and was still unable to connect.

I contacted Pixel support and they directed me to this forum for support.

About a week ago, I was able to connect to the 2019 Honda Civic for approximately a day and a half and then it stopped working again; no changes to the device that I could find.

I suspect this is a hardware issue but Pixel support will not replace the phone under warranty until the Android Auto Support Team is involved.

Have a Moto X4 just bought in the last few weeks. Was working okay for about a week, and now having serious disconnect issues. Have tried a range of options, and cannot get anything to work. Seriously contemplating going back to my old Moto E4 which is "stuck" on Android 7, as it works with the car fine.
