Pixel 9 Pro XL Bluetooth Issues

Bluetooth audio is coming in very staticy. The audio sounds terrible when using teams.

Also running into an issue that android auto disconnects when connecting to a teams call.

Edit: Also found out the Pixel 9 Pro XL cannot sync with the Pixel Watch 2. The Watch App cannot see the device, but Bluetooth says it's connected.

Hello JigenKing. Is this only happening with Teams, or do you notice the same issue with other apps? It could be an issue with Teams? I just finished setting up Android Auto with my new Pixel 9 Pro and had no audio issues using YouTube Music or TuneIn Radio.

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like the Teams app is not Android Auto friendly. There was another post recently about Teams causing some strange call issues. Maybe try reporting this to Microsoft through the Teams app, somewhere in the app settings should be a contact us / report issue type of option.

I've noticed if I disconnect from Android auto the Bluetooth issue with teams is still there. If I switch to speaker or phone it goes away. I think it's a compatibility issue between teams app and Bluetooth. I've switched from the teams app to call me audio.  That seems ok.

Bad form to reach out to users in forums where they are not badged. I'm moving this to the appropriate forum.

I have 9 pro and phone call Bluetooth is static with crackling noise. It is the same issue I had with earlier versions of pixel. It goes away if put the phone far away from the dashboard or on the seat under my leg. Disappointed with pixel 9 pro

I can add my voice to the problem. The issues I have are with my Mazda 3 car headunit that worked perfectly with Pixel 7 I had before, but now every call over the car is "carckling", specifically in Teams.
Another is Jabra 85t earbuds. Also worked perfectly fine and still do for music, but crackle if I make a call. So far resetting bluetooth, switching AAC/SBC, HD Audio, Spatial audio did not help to resolve the problem.

Same issue with my E Class

Same with CLA class with 9 Pro Fold. It works about half of the time and it's the same whether using mbux or android Auto. Switching between phone and car repeatedly does not help.
Windows Phone Link refuses to connect for phonecalls, and Garmin watch disconnects when crossing the room.
My previous Pixel (Pixel Fold mk 1} stayed connected 2 rooms away.

yeah pixel 9xl.
works just fine with my VW, but none of my apps (signal, telegram, phone) work with any of the bluetooth headsets i have.  sure they pair, but it simply doesnt route the audio to that device in any configuration. ...about to return this due to non functional issues.

Hi All,
After using this phone for the past week or so, I determined the issue is either with Android Auto or the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I have had android auto crash or reset while I was driving. When it tries to start again it seems like it is having a Bluetooth issue or issues starting the app up again. It will constantly connect and disconnect every 2-3 seconds once the app crashes/resets on its own. The only way I can get android auto to work consistently again is to restart my phone.

I may can add a bit of information that may help track the issue down. When I first got my pixel 9 pro xl I had no Bluetooth issues. I then opted into android beta 15 and I had no Bluetooth issues. About a week later I received the Aug playstore system update and Bluetooth issues started. I wiped and downgraded back to android 14 but also received the Aug play store system update and Bluetooth still has issues. Leads me to believe it's something to do with the august playstore system update as when I was on Android 14 and 15 with September playstore system update Bluetooth worked fine.

I'm experiencing the same problem with mine with earphones that had none of this problem on my pixel 6a

It is the same problem as with Pixel 8 Pro. You can only connect with bluetooth to your car if you change your bluetooth AVCRP version and then restart phone, but this only helps for one maybe two sessions, then you're back to same cant connect bullshit.
Waiting for a fix for my Pixel 8 Pro, it's ridiculous same problem is gone into the 9 Pro too...

My question is with the sound coming out of the hearing speaker of the phone when connected to a bluetooth speaker. It connects to my android audio just fine when I start the car. I just cannot figure out how to change where the sound comes from. It also was happening yesterday in a zoom meeting, and I had my Pixel buds in my ear but the sound was still coming out of the phone.

I'm having this issue with my Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Teams audio sounds awful through Bluetooth. It's distorted and awful. On the Galaxy Buds Pro 3 I was able to turn LE audio on, the distortion instantly cleared. However, I don't have this setting for Android Auto or my Pixel Buds...I don't see "LE audio" support for either. Any assistance on this would be appreciated. It's definitely a Bluetooth issue with this phone specifically.

I have same issue with MS Teams and horrible audio. Very choppy. Happens if I am using Bluetooth headset or using built-in speakers on my Pixel 9 pro XL. Happens 99% of the time. In rare instances, audio is fine. It's something like one out of every 30 Teams calls is fine. The rest are horrible. Same thing if I pair my phone to Bluetooth in my car. Teams audio is horrible as is Spotify and Audible. Can't use Bluetooth audio streaming in my car.  Never had these problems with my old iPhone 14 pro Max which I had for 2 years before switching to this Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. Google needs to get this Bluetooth issue resolved ASAP!!

Have done troubleshooting with Google support 3 times. All are stumped and say I should reach out to Microsoft. However, this issue doesn't just happen in teams. I just use Teams the most and experience it there most.
