Android now unable to see contacts whatsapp number

My Samsung S22 recently updated, since then if I receive a whatsapp message whilst driving I can hear and respond to the message, if I try and start a whatsapp message it says it can't see a whatsapp number for the contact, any advice greatly appreciated as this was the main feature I used whilst driving

When I try to use voice commands to send a WhatsApp in Android Auto, Google says "do not understand". This essential feature worked well 2 days ago. Now it is broken.

Hi. I can only see the 19th May update on Google Play store, and can confirm that version does not have the fix in it (as could not send WhatsApp yesterday). Are we expecting a 26th May version soon in the store to download? Thanks!
