I have a brand new Samsung S21 since September that is fully updated. This issue also persisted with my old phone which was a Samsung S6. It USED to function perfectly on the S6 but I believe the weather display of temperature and clouds/sun/thunderstorm icon disappeared sometime in 2020.
Obviously whatever caused this to stop working in 2020 is still present now in nearly 2022.

I use a Samsung S9 Android 10 UI 2.5 and latest AA.
I still have no weather icon on my Dynavin N7-V7 Pro but my wife's Samsung A41 Android 11 UI 3.1 shows weather icon.
So I believe that Google stopped realising improvements for units running Android 10 UI 2.5. Seems that Google transformed itself into an Apple. Shame on you.

Gabriel, don't run out and buy an Android 11 phone, because many people here (including my wife and me) have version 11 and it doesn't work on them either. It doesn't appear to be an issue with a particular Android version.
As for Google becoming Apple, I think there's a better comparison. Remember 15 or so years ago when the dominant operating systems for handhelds were PalmOS and PocketPC? Both had multiple issues, but both Palm and Microsoft seemed to adopt the attitude, "we don't have to be good, we just have to be less bad than the other guy." Then Android and iOS came along and kicked both to the curb. Now, Apple and Google are making the same mistake. What they don't seem to realize is that somewhere, some company is limbering up its kicking leg.

I believe there is a disconnect between AA and Location parameters. It would help if we could have a crib sheet telling us what the settings should be.
Everything else worked fine when switching phones and my Samsung Music app drives my music choices happily.
Personally I think Maps is a (road) safer product than Waze even though it's UK camera database is out of date.

I hate to have to say this, but this issue will not be fixed. A couple
of months ago, Google finally added it to the "Known Issues" list. But
in the 1/12/22 update, they removed it from "Work In Progress" without claiming to have corrected it.
So they know it's a problem, they know they haven't fixed it, and they've stopped working on it.
Sorry folks, it's not going to happen.
