Android Auto in 2018 Renault Captur pixilated after upgrading to Pixel 3 XL

Hi,

I have a 2018 Renault Captur using the R-Link multimedia system. It worked fine on a Pixel XL and Nexup 6P. However since upgrading to a Pixel 3 XL the maps pixilate once a journey starts. When you look at the screen you realise the refresh is not porking correctly as the pixilation seems to be rotated layers of the map blurring over each other.

Additionally when you try to return the the home screen there is a lot of lag, the touch screen is very unresponsive and the menu bar at the bottom is black.

Pixel 3 XL is on Android 9 and build number is PQ1A.181105.017.A1.

Please help as Android Auto was one of the key features for selecting the car and use it daily. It is frustrating to have upgraded to the latest Google phone and lose such a utilised feature.

Kind regards,

James

My husband posted the above on my behalf.  I've since logged a review on the app and your response is to log the issue in the community, which you can see we've clearly done and there has been no response.  I've now not been able to use Android Auto for 3 weeks, every since I purchased the 3XL.

Your response is appreciated so I at least know it's being looked into and not just ignored. I've tried to attach the attach the screen shot of your answer to my review but it keeps being rejected......

Do you have any indication of timescales for this to be resolved?

Same problem for me, updated to the Pixel 3 and my R link (I actually drive a smart but its the same head unit) does exactly the same thing - would really appreciate an update on what to do as I've spent a lot of money upgrading to a phone that now does less the my OG pixel!

Any timescale on any help please?

Thank you!

for information, I downloaded the update of Android Auto 4.1.590944-release and the pixelization problem is still present.
