Share your screen with us

To help you solve your issue faster, we recommend that you share your screen. When you share your screen:

  • You control your phone. We’ll never have control of your phone.
  • You can stop or pause sharing your screen at any time.
  • We’ll be able to show you where to look and what to tap.

How screenshare works

While you’re sharing, we’ll be able to see everything on your screen. So if you enter a password or look at a photo, we’ll be able to see that. But you can pause or stop sharing at any time. For example, if you want to check a text or enter a password, you can pause sharing. We won’t see anything until you resume sharing.

How to share your screen

Get ready

Before sharing, if you haven’t yet taken these steps, we recommend:

  • To save battery, plug in your phone.
  • To ensure a steady connection, connect to Wi-Fi.
  • To more easily see your screen, turn on your phone’s speaker or use earphones.

Start sharing your screen

  1. On your screen, you’ll see a "Share your screen for guided help" invitation.
  2. On the invitation, confirm whether you want to share your screen.

When you’re sharing your screen, you’ll see a green border and a green button.

Pause, resume, or end sharing

Important: Please pause sharing before you enter or view private information.

You’ll know that you’re sharing when there’s a green border around your screen. When you pause sharing, the green border turns gray. When you stop sharing, the border goes away.

  1. Tap Share screen .
  2. Tap Pause Pause, Play Play, or Stop Stop.
