If you have forgotten the screen lock, the only way to gain access to the phone again is to factory reset it from recovery menu. The instructions can be found by a Google search.
This will delete all the data on your phone. Make sure you remember the credentials of the Google account with which the phone was previously set up, as these might be required while setting up the phone again.
