Pixel 6a -Google LLC has configured this device to be fully managed - By an error

Good Afternoon , Dear Team!
I hope You are doing well and Safe

I have recently purchased a Pixel 6a for myself as my Pixel 3 is damaged and kind of Unsafe to use . I live in Ukraine and unfortunately we don't have access to Google Store, So i took a chance and got the Phone off Ebay ...
The phone seems to be Locked with some sort of MDM and I cannot use the Phone at all which is a pity both financially and mentally ( I was waiting to get my hands on it lol )
If I could get any help from You - That would be greatly appreciated, as I don't see a reason to make a working phone useless and mess up nature and climate for no reason... I will attach the Text of Report I got from the phone as well as the Pictures of the box to show the Imei matching .
I will be waiting for Your response and I hope to hear from You!
Best and Warm Regards

- George

Hello User 17491152977966467178,

Welcome to the Android Community forum.

Unfortunately, that message means that phone is owned by Google and has been either lost or stolen.  The phone is essentially unusable and that cannot be remedied.

I suggest you contact the seller and/or eBay for a refund.

Best,

Hi Lily, thanks for Quick response
Unfortunately i cannot get any refunds .
Is there any chance to get deeper with this matter? I checked the IMEI and it's not marked as stolen, its clean.
I found numerous people facing the same issue but not getting any help from Google's reps

User 17491152977966467178,

This is far from the first time I've seen this issue.  I can tell you the following from experience:

  1. The phone does belong to Google.  It has either been lost by Google in some manner or it has been stolen from Google.
  2. The IMEI is likely to appear "clean" at some IMEI check sites.  That doesn't matter, the phone belongs to Google and the IMEI showing as clean on some sites doesn't change the truth; the phone is either lost or stolen and it still belongs to Google.
  3. Google is not going to "help."  If you purchased a stolen car by mistake, you certainly wouldn't expect the car's legitimate owner to help you get it started so you could drive it off.
  4. eBay is not a purveyor of stolen property.  You need to notify them about receiving an item that was either lost by or stolen from its rightful owner.
Best,
Lilybell2

Again, thanks for responding, Appreciate that.
The phone came with a SIM card and I sent all the legal info for the Phone here
I would LOVE to send this phone back to the original owner ( if there is one) instead of hearing some morals.
Like im a burglar. LOL.
Google sent phones likes this as a replacement when warranty phones were turned in .. Customer support is "0" even for the US.

Have a Great day, thank You for your time and Best Regards to the Diamond Expert Lily! 💘
