Android Auto app has functionally disappeared and won't come back
Additionally, while my phone still says that Android Auto is installed on it (I can remove or install updates), it does not appear in my list of apps and I have no way of opening it. Since it's a stock app of the Google Pixel, I can't even uninstall/reinstall.
Things I've tried without success:
- Changing USB connection type from "charging" to "file transfer". I though this was the issue, since this change was made involuntarily when connecting to my PC.
- Trying to connect with all Android Auto updates removed, and with all updates installed.
- It not the USB cable or the vehicle itself, as my wife (who also uses a Google Pixel) can connect like always without issue.
I've been searching and searching for a solution, but can't find anything.
Side note: I'm on Android 13, but the dropdown didn't give me that option.

Additionally, from that same settings page, you could try pressing the Connect A Car button and see if that changes anything.
Finally, if you have USB Debugging enabled, try disabling it. If developer options are enabled, it will be under System Settings > System > Developer options > USB debugging (If you do not see Developer options on the System page, you must not have it enabled, and this would not be the issue).
