Client side encryption for android backup

Hi,
I want to make Google my android Samsung Galaxy backup solution but i'm worried about security and privacy....
Specially about the photos and whatsapp backups - is there a way to configure a client side encryption - so the photos will be encrypted in the cloud side- so even google can't open it? also about whatsapp - i saw they have some encryption configuration there- but how it's working? it's really encrypted in the cloud side so no one can open it? so - how can i open it in another phone?
Another last thing- i saw in google agreement - they using my data for advertising and data gathering.... but- if i purchase google one  storage and want to use it as a backup solution- i don't want them to use my data or my meta data.....

Short answer is no.

so even google can't open it?

Backups uploaded to Google servers are end to end encrypted with your Google Account password. For some data, your phone's screen lock PIN, pattern, or password is also used to encrypt your data so it can be backed up safely. Thereby, Google can't read that data.

also about whatsapp

You can turn on end to end encryption for WhatsApp backups as well. How that works is described in this help article.

if i purchase google one  storage and want to use it as a backup solution- i don't want them to use my data or my meta data.

Google doesn't use your files or backups stored in Google Drive for advertising purposes at all. More information in this help article, and broader details in Google's robust privacy and security policies.
