Hi Chris Bell 2151,

If you're using a Pixel phone, please post questions and problems regarding Googles Pixel phones in the Google Pixel Help Community.

Thank you.

@Sandor

I'll be honest, I don't really think that suggesting everyone who mentions a rapid battery drain generically goes to the pixel support forum, if there is a thread there about the battery performance of A10, I couldn't find it, please link us specifically.

I'm curious, I've seen reports of people having better battery life, mine is certainly worse. Were you a beta tester as well? Wondering if it's something leftover from Beta.

Some reports say battery will reoptimize itself over a few days, but that hasn't been my experience, yet.

Since update to Android 10 from Android 9 my battery drains extremely fast.  Before the upgrade my battery might drain 2-3% overnight now I'm seeing 30-40% drain.

I have the same high battery drain issue right after the Android 10 upgrade on my Essential PH-1
30-40% drained overnight, with nothing running on the phone!
I was not on Q beta... direct upgrade from Android 9 to Android 10
Battery usage does not show any app with high usage, so, I suspect it is some background process.
Current status - Last Full Charge - 3 hrs ago
Remaining capacity - 88%
Screen usage since last charge: 5 mins
Voice Calls (18 mins) - 2%
WhatsApp (20 mins includes the above 18 min voice call) - 2%

My Pixel 2 XL battery has been horrible.

8 hours awake, 2 hr 43 min screen usage, and the battery is at 36%.

I realize I can try and figure out what app is draining the battery, but why?

I have the same apps running on P and there were no battery issues.

Really frustrating.

Al and others- Welcome to the Android Help Community! This is too new to know what the bug is yet but I have seen mentions of this across multiple forums. Since it is likely to be software this is the right forum to post on. So far I haven't yet seen any fixes but have you tried to run the same usage in safe mode and see if that makes a difference?

Hi,
Just watched it dropping from 85% to 0% in 85 seconds.
Nothing was running in back. Regular browsing.
Buying an old fashion alarm clock if it happens again.
Normal battery % now after the restart. It happened when it saw the ome network.

I have same issues on Xiaomi Mi Note 10 pro. Instagram and Facebook and Chrome keep draining battery even they are force stopped, location disabled etc...my battery lasted normally 2 days and since new update it lasts half day even if I don't use it.
Does anyone know when new update is going to be? Hopefully it will fix this.
