"We sincerely appreciate that you found this useful, and we're sorry that it's inconvenient that contacts no longer appear in autocomplete. We strive to provide results that provide the most value to the most people. This was unfortunately not the case for contacts.
However, if you've enabled the right settings (Web & App Activity & Device Information) you can continue to reach your contacts using the Google Assistant. Also, most people can still find contact information if they do a search. Just search for a contact name and any matching contact information will appear in the search results, in a format that makes it clear that these are not being shown to the public. Unfortunately for those using G Suite, we're not able to surface this information in the search results."
