You can find and change your settings from any screen on your phone with Quick Settings. To get to the settings that you change often, you can add or move them to Quick Settings.
Important:
- Some of these steps work only on Android 13 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
Some of these steps require you to touch the screen.
Open Quick Settings
- To find your first few settings, swipe down from the top of your screen.
- To find all of your Quick Settings, swipe down again.
Turn settings on or off
- To turn a setting on or off, tap the icon. Dimmed settings are off.
- To quickly adjust settings, tap the name of the setting.
- To access advanced settings, touch and hold a Quick Settings icon.
Add, remove or move a setting
- From the top of your screen, swipe down twice.
- To update the Quick Settings menu, tap Edit

- To find all available settings that you can add, scroll down.
- Tap Add

- To remove a setting, tap Remove

- To reorganise your settings, tap and drag the settings to where you want them placed.
- To resize a setting:
- To minimise the setting to only show its icon, tap and drag the right side of the icon to the left.
- To maximise and show the name of a setting, tap and drag the right side of the icon to the right.

Tip
- Some apps may ask if you want to add their icon as a tile in your Quick Settings menu. You can remove or re-add these at any time.
- If you have several settings turned on, your phone sometimes hides icons to save screen space. To find the hidden icons, at the top of your phone’s screen, you'll see a dot.
Control audio and video
- To find what’s playing on your device, swipe down from the top of your screen. Learn how to quickly control your audio and video.
- You can pause, rewind or change other settings for the audio or video that you play.
- To open the app where the media is playing, tap the panel.
- If you have media playing from two sources, swipe right or left to find them.
- To change where the sound plays, at the top right of the panel, tap the name of your audio accessory like Speakers or Pixel Buds.
