Turn on the device or hold the Power button
First, try holding down your phone's power button for 5-7 seconds. This usually restarts a phone.
Troubleshoot case, battery charger, cable & outlet
Wired charger and cable
- Try to charge another device with your power adapter and cable.
- Check that the cable is securely connected to the adapter and to your phone.
- Check that there's nothing in the port of your phone, like dust or lint.
- Try to charge your phone with another cable or power adapter.
Wireless charger
- Try to charge your phone with a wireless charger. Be sure to use the correct approved wireless charger for your particular Pixel device. Learn how to charge your Pixel wirelessly.
Tips:
- If you get a “Check charging accessory” notification, your cable or USB power adapter may be damaged or not supported by your phone. This can cause your phone to charge very slowly or not at all.
- To fix the problem, charge your phone with a compatible cable and charger. Learn which power adapter and cable to use to charge your phone.

Reset your phone manually (optional)
Plug in your phone with a working cable, charger, and outlet, then wait one minute.
- If you see a battery icon, your phone is powered off and is charging. You can restart right away.
- If you see a red light, your battery is fully discharged. If the red light is flashing, there isn't enough power to turn on. Charge your phone for at least 30 minutes before restarting.
- If you don't see a battery icon or red light after you plug in your phone, the issue could be with your screen.

Troubleshoot your screen
- To reboot your phone, press and hold the Power button for about 35 seconds.
- Wait about 2 minutes.
- Make your phone ring. You can call it from another phone or use the Find Hub app. Learn how.

Tip: A low brightness setting may make the screen difficult to read. Check the screen closely for any displayed imagery.
Troubleshoot with advanced steps
- Check that your computer is on and connected to a power source.
- Connect your phone to your computer's USB or USB-C port with a cable that works.
- Wait about 10–15 minutes.
- Disconnect the cable from your phone, then reconnect it within 10 seconds.
- If you see a battery icon within one minute, your phone is powered off and charging.
- Charge your phone for at least 30 minutes.
- Press and hold the Power button until your phone restarts. You might need to tap Restart
.

With your phone plugged in, press and hold both the volume-down button and the power button at the same time for at least 20 seconds.
If you see a red light, your battery is fully discharged.

- Press the volume-down button until you see the option to "Power off." Press the power button to pick "Power off."
