Manage your Google Settings

If your phone uses Google Play services, you can manage your Google apps and services in Google Settings.

Important: You're using a custom Android version. If these steps don't work for you, check with your device manufacturer.Important: Some of these steps work only on Android 8.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Open Google Settings

Depending on your phone, either:

• Open your phone's settings app  Google.
• Open a separate app called Google Settings .

Account

1. Tap Manage your Google Account.
2. Scroll to the tab that you want.
3. Tap a tab:
   • ​​Home
   • Personal info
     Update basic info in your Google Account. Find out how to change your name and other info.
   • Data and personalisation
     Find your data, activity and preferences that can make Google services more useful to you. Manage what activity gets saved.
   • Security
     Use settings and recommendations to help keep your account secure. Find out how to make your account more secure.
   • People & sharing
     Manage your interactions and the info that you show on Google services. Find out how to choose what info you share.
   • Payments and subscriptions
     Find your payment methods, transactions, recurring payments, prepaid plans and reservations. Find out about managing purchases.

Services

Under 'Services on this device', scroll down and tap the service that you want. For example:

• Ads
  Opt out of Ad Personalisation or reset your advertising ID. Find out how to control the ads that you're shown.
• Autofill
  Manage what information Google uses to autofill forms with personal information like your address, payment method and passwords.
• Backup
  Manage storage and manually back up your device.
• Find My Device
  Manage settings for remotely locating and erasing a lost device. Learn how to find, lock, or erase a lost device.
• Game Dashboard
  Manage Game Dashboard settings and notifications during games.
• Parental controls
  Set up and manage parental controls on your device. Learn how to manage your child's Google Account with Family Link.
