Manage system services settings

You can install, update and remove system services and automatic updates in the Google settings.

Install, update or remove a system service

Install a system service

To download and install a new system service or reinstall a previously removed system service on your device:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap your profile and then All services.
  3. Under 'Privacy and security', tap System services.
  4. Under 'Not installed', tap a system service.
  5. Tap Install.
Update a system service

To update a system service on your device:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap your profile and then All services.
  3. Under 'Privacy and security', tap System services.
  4. Under 'Available updates', tap a system service.
  5. Press Update.
Tip: You can find the release note and learn more about what's included in the latest release under 'What's new'.
Remove a system service

To remove updates of a system service on your device:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap your profile and then All services.
  3. Under 'Privacy and security', tap System services.
  4. Under 'Up to date', tap a system service.
  5. Tap Remove updates.

Turn off system services

If you turn off system services, it may impact your device's performance. Learn more about disabling apps that came with your Android device.
