How get client id in Google Analytics 4 0 Recommended Answers 0 Replies 0 Upvotes
Hi. I use Google Tag Manager. In documentation Google https://developers.google.com/gtagjs/reference/api?hl=en have client_id field name, but I don't understand what needs to be added to the Google Tag Manager tag value in Fields To Set? Thanks
I created a variable that is retrieved from the first-party cookie. Next step i creat user properties in GA4 with name client_id. And added it to GA4 tag with pageview tracking type, only in user properties. In debug mode GTM all ok http://prntscr.com/wazl3q
But there's a problem. Client ID is transmitted incomplete, since there are many digits, then it changes the format to + ... In DebugView http://prntscr.com/wazpha Client ID 922229898.1607810407 transformed in 9.2223e+08
And in reports user properties incomplete: http://prntscr.com/wazr7e
Thanks
