You need to create a new property, and then deploy GA4 tracking code to have data.

Hi Benjamin..
Sharing the url to your analytics account does not allow ppl to view it.
Can you please share a screenshot of what you are seeing instead.

Also did you edit your tracking code to take the GA4 property into account?

Hi, I am also experiencing the same issue with upgrading to GA4 and no data is showing.

I followed these instructions https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9744165?hl=en to upgrade

As per the article, I checked the real time report and there is still no data. We use gtag.js for tagging.

Can I please get assistance?

I have actually the same problem. I have a wordpress website www.premas.ch and an connected it with the gtag.js of my "old property"... I followed the instructions of the Upgrad to 4 Property but although I included the new gtag.js of the 4Property into the existing skript, there is no datastream. Everything is connected but I cannot see any date. Based on Wordpress Statistics, there must be data... realtime test failed.

Where is the problem????? I urgently need help.

Martina

I get this message:

Die Property PREMAS erhält keine Treffer. Entweder gibt es auf Ihrer Website keine Sitzungen oder sie ist nicht korrekt getaggt.

Mit Google Tag Assistant Recordings können Sie sicherstellen, dass Ihre Website korrekt getaggt ist.

@Martina
the site is using jetpack to insert a very outdated version of google analytics
copy/paste from source code (it needs to be removed from jetpack):
<!-- Jetpack Google Analytics -->
<script type="text/plain" data-cli-class="cli-blocker-script" data-cli-label="Google Analytics" data-cli-script-type="analytics" data-cli-block="true" data-cli-block-if-ccpa-optout="false" data-cli-element-position="head">
var _gaq = _gaq || [];
_gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-159837438-1']);
_gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
_gaq.push(['_gat._anonymizeIp']);
(function() {
var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
ga.src = ('https:' === document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
})();
</script>

There are also two copies of the gtag.js installed
copy/paste from source code.. one copy needs to be removed:

<!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google Analytics -->
<script type="text/plain" data-cli-class="cli-blocker-script" data-cli-label="Google Tag Manager"  data-cli-script-type="non-necessary" data-cli-block="true" data-cli-block-if-ccpa-optout="false" data-cli-element-position="head" async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-159837438-1"></script>
<script>
  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'UA-159837438-1');
  gtag('config', 'G-GXWG3K3LF3');
</script>
<!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google Analytics -->
<script type="text/plain" data-cli-class="cli-blocker-script" data-cli-label="Google Tag Manager"  data-cli-script-type="non-necessary" data-cli-block="true" data-cli-block-if-ccpa-optout="false" data-cli-element-position="head" async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-159837438-1"></script>
<script>
  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'UA-159837438-1');
  gtag('config', 'G-GXWG3K3LF3');
</script>

I would also try removing all this from the tracking code snippet and add the snippet as per how the GA interface gives it to you to insert
try without the following:

type="text/plain" data-cli-class="cli-blocker-script" data-cli-label="Google Tag Manager" data-cli-script-type="non-necessary" data-cli-block="true" data-cli-block-if-ccpa-optout="false" data-cli-element-position="head" async
