I am trying to connect my analytics onto my Wordpress website however as my tracking id is a G- code I am un able to do it. It must be a UA- code. How do I change my code to get a UA- one? Thanks

We have the exact same problem. Seems like the account was set automatically as for apps and webs, and not just for webs. I am not sure if this is what is causing the issue, but we only have the G code too. The interface looks different from that in recent tutorials.

If you need a universal analytics id .. not a measurement ID or account number.

Create a new property, when you are creating the new property ,
on the Property details page, click on advanced options and turn on the option for a UA property
and then select create a Universal Analytics Property only from the two options given

Exactly the support mentions columns that simply aren't there when I'm trying to follow the video. I can't find the tracking under property in my account. It's driving me nuts.

I'm having the same issue. I've added a secondary account/property, but am only getting a G number as opposed to the universal for this one. I also can't figure out how to do it as the instructions all seem outdated and include columns/checkboxes etc that aren't there anymore

You cannot change a ga4 property to a Universal Property
as per the instructions that i gave above..

If you need a universal analytics id .. not a measurement ID or account number.
Create a new property,
when you are creating the new property ,
on the Property details page, click on show advanced options and toggle on the option for a UA property
and then select create a Universal Analytics Property only from the two options given
as in the screenshot

Once you have created the new Universal property, you can then go to the GA4 one on it's Property Settings page, and send it to the trash.
