How do you exclude bots and spam from analytics reports? Used to be a check box in Properties>Tracking> Referral Exclusion list. But it is now gone.

It is on the View Setting page for each View

I still get bot traffic every hour. I am getting annoyed by this because I want to block these spam bots from coming into my site. Is there any else I can do to prevent them on continuing spamming my site? Thank you very much.

1. Turn on Exclude all hits from known bots and spiders. This setting is in View Settings.
2. Use the filter to filter out the traffic belonging to your hostname.

I have this setting turned on, and I have tons of spam bot traffic being incorrectly reported. I guess the Google AI's aren't so smart after all. Seems like a pretty useless setting as far as I can tell.
