[GA4] About Google Analytics 4 reports

Click Reports in the left navigation. The report that you see is called "Reports snapshot" and can be set by a property administrator.

Your reports are organized as follows:

If an administrator has not customized the report navigation, you will see the default Lifecycle and User collections. By default, the Lifecycle collection contains the following topics:

  • Acquisition: the sources, mediums, and campaigns through which you acquire users
  • Engagement: user engagement by events, pages, and screens
  • Monetization: buyer volume, and revenue by items, promotions, and coupons
  • Retention: retention by new and returning users, cohorts, and lifetime value

By default, the User collection contains the following topics:

  • Demographics: user volume by demographic dimension
  • Tech: user adoption of app releases and the technologies used to engage your content
