This article is about Universal Analytics, which is going away. It's critical that you migrate your Universal Analytics property settings to Google Analytics 4, or you will begin to lose data on July 1, 2023 (July 1, 2024 for Analytics 360 properties). Learn how to migrate your settings.

Link Google Analytics and Ad Exchange

To start receiving data from Ad Exchange within your Analytics account, you must first choose an Analytics property to link Ad Exchange to. If you don’t already have an Analytics account, visit the Analytics website to sign up for a new account.

Before you start the linking process, make sure you're using a Google Account login that has Administrator access to your Ad Exchange and AdSense accounts and the Editor role on the Analytics property.

If you're trying to link a new account and either your Analytics account or your Google Ad Exchange account is now closed, then you'll need to re-open the closed account and remove the link before you can link to another account.

To integrate Analytics with Ad Exchange follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Analytics 360 account.
  2. Click ? to open product help.
  3. Under Contact Us, click Need more help?.
  4. Click Other issues, then select Email support.
  5. Under "Issue Type," choose "Google Ads Manager Linking" and answer the questions.

Once approved, you can enable the Analytics Data Sharing setting in Google Ad Manager > Admin > All network settings.
