Delete your Google Assistant history

You can delete any chats, information, or activity you've had with your Google Assistant in Allo or through your Google Account. Your Google Assistant history stores chats you've had with your Assistant, and remembers your name and interests for a more personalized experience.

What happens when you delete activity

  • Your Assistant will forget your information.
  • You delete all one-on-one chat messages with your Google Assistant.

Note: Any Google Assistant messages that appear in a chat with other people will still show in that chat.

To start talking with your Google Assistant again, you can send a new message or type "@google."

Delete your Google Assistant history in the app

Note: This feature only works on Allo’s mobile app.

  1. Open Allo and then open the chat with Google Assistant.
  2. Tap the profile icon and then Chat details and then Delete activity.

Delete your Google Assistant activity in your Google Account

If you've connected your Google Assistant with your Google Account, you can also delete your Assistant activity through your Account's My Activity page.

Note: This won't clear your Allo chat history, including Google Assistant chats. Your Assistant and Allo chat history can be cleared from Allo.

  1. Go to your Google Account's Assistant Activity page. If you haven't already, sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Find the activity you want to delete.
  3. Click More More and then Delete.

  2. Near "My Activity," click More More and thenDelete activity by.
