Prevent invalid activity using the payment ID
The payment ID system applies to Ad Exchange and Network Partner Management publishers in DFP.
It applies to branded inventory only; anonymous inventory is excluded.
A payment ID system exists across Ad Exchange inventory to ensure a fully transparent ad supply chain. This ID system uses unique and persistent identifiers to link every impression to the entity that is paid for the impression.
Programmatic buyers receive the identifier in the bid request. If they find invalid or fraudulent activity, they can use it to identify the source from the supply chain and choose to exclude it from further bidding activity.
