Target inventory using third-party remarketing lists

Third-party (or 'licensed') remarketing lists are user lists from a third-party data provider. Authorized Buyers allows you to target inventory using these lists. Data providers generally charge a fee for this service.

To begin using managed remarketing lists:

  • Contact your account team.

  • Once you're set up on our end, your data provider can begin sending audience segments to your Authorized Buyers account.

  • Now, when you edit a campaign, a new tab under the Remarketing section will appear: Licensed Lists.

    • Navigate to the ad group for which you'd like to add a managed remarketing list.
    • Click the Change display targeting button.
    • Under the Remarketing section, click the Licensed Lists tab.
    • Scroll through the lists and add them to your targeting criteria by clicking the » button.
    • Click Save when you're done.

Reporting and billing

  • Billing and payments are handled by Authorized Buyers.
  • Data costs are reported in the List fees column of the ad group table view.
  • The Total cost column combines both the data and impression costs.
  • The Max. CPM column does not include data fees.
  • The Avg. CPM column does include data fees. As a result, average CPM may sometimes appear greater than maximum CPM.

To add the List fees and Total cost columns:

  1. Click on the appropriate campaign.
  2. Click on the Ad groups tab.
  3. Click the Columns button, and select Customize columns.
  4. In the dialogue that appears, click the Performance menu, and click Add next to List fees and Total cost.
RTB buying using third-party audience segments is currently not available.
