Exclude anonymous sites

This article refers to the legacy version of the Ad Exchange interface.*

Beginning early 2016, the legacy interface will be deprecated and all non-RTB campaigns created in this platform will be turned off. If you're already using the new interface, you can find most of the new processes in the following:

Pretargeting: create and define pretargeting configurations
Hosted bidding: build and maintain campaigns
Query Tool: create queries and run reports

* If you are not already using the new interface, contact your account team.

You can exclude ads in a campaign from delivering on particular anonymous sites or all anonymous sites.

To exclude anonymous sites:

  1. Go directly to the Site and Category Exclusion tool by visiting You might be asked to sign in.
  2. In the Campaign drop-down, select the campaign whose exclusions you'd like to edit.
  3. Note: If you only have one campaign, you will not see the drop-down.

  4. On the Sites tab, in the Add exclusions text box, enter the anonymous ID(s), one item per line:
    • To exclude a particular anonymous site, enter its anonymous ID plus ',' e.g.,
    • To exclude all anonymous sites, enter
  5. Click Save all changes.

Alternatively, you can add anonymous exclusions by navigating to the Campaigns tab > Networks tab, then expand Exclusions.

Note: Excluding anonymous sites can significantly reduce traffic to your campaign.
