Add promotion extensions

Google Ads Editor lets you add promotion extensions at the campaign and ad group levels. Promotion extensions makes your offer stand out so potential customers can spot great deals and generate new sales for your business.

Create promotion extension

Promotion extensions are managed in the Shared library. They must be created in the Shared library before they can be added to campaigns and ad groups. To create a new promotion extension, follow these steps:

  1. Click Shared library under the type list.

  2. Select Shared promotion extensions in the left panel.

  3. Click Add shared promotion extension, above the data view.

  4. Make sure the new extension is selected in the data view and add the extension information in the edit panel.

Add a promotion extension to a campaign or ad group

  1. In the account tree, select the campaign or ad group where you want to add the extension.

  2. In the type list, select Ad extensions and then Promotion extensions.

  3. Above the data view, click Add promotion extension and select Campaign promotion extension or Ad group promotion extension from the drop-down menu.

  4. Choose the extension you want to add from the list.

  5. Click OK.

Edit a promotion extension

Promotion extensions are managed in the Shared library, which means that changing the extension will update all campaigns and ad groups where that extension has been added. To edit a promotion extension, follow these steps:

  1. Click Shared library under the type list.

  2. Select Shared promotion extensions in the left panel.

  3. Select an extension in the data view.

  4. Edit the extension’s information in the edit panel.
