If you see this error message and you're running Microsoft Security Essentials with Real-Time Protection software, your software might be conflicting with Google Ads Editor.
To prevent this error, access your Security Essentials scanning settings and exclude the directory that contains Google Ads Editor's log files. If you’re on Windows XP, your Google Ads Editor log files can be found in the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\testing\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Google Ads-Editor\profiles
You can also exclude the adwords_editor process file:
C:\Program Files\Google\Google Google Ads Editor\google ads_editor.exe
