Usage tracking in Google Ads Editor

Usage tracking is an optional setting that enables Google to collect anonymous statistics about how people use Google Ads Editor features. This information can help us understand what we need to improve.

The usage statistics don't include personal information or the contents of your Google Ads account. Please see Google's privacy policy for more information about how we protect your data.

Usage tracking in Google Ads Editor is off by default. When you install Google Ads Editor for the first time, you're prompted to enable the feature after you accept the Terms of Service. Once you've installed Google Ads Editor, you can turn usage tracking on or off by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Tools menu > Settings (Windows) or Google Ads Editor > Preferences (Mac).
  2. On the General tab, select Enable anonymous usage tracking to turn usage tracking on, or deselect it to turn it off.
  3. Click OK.
