Usage tracking in AdWords Editor

Usage tracking is an optional setting that enables Google to collect anonymous statistics about how people use AdWords Editor features. This information can help us understand what we need to improve.

The usage statistics don't include personal information or the contents of your AdWords account. Please see Google's privacy policy for more information about how we protect your data.

Usage tracking in AdWords Editor is off by default. When you install AdWords Editor for the first time, you're prompted to enable the feature after you accept the Terms of Service. Once you've installed AdWords Editor, you can turn usage tracking on or off by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Tools menu > Settings (Windows) or AdWords Editor > Preferences (Mac).
  2. On the General tab, select Enable anonymous usage tracking to turn usage tracking on, or deselect it to turn it off.
  3. Click OK.
