Search terms report: Definition

A list of search terms that people have used before seeing your ad and clicking it. Use this report to refine your keywords so that only the right searches cause your ad to show.

  • This report shows every search query that resulted in your ad being shown and clicked on.
  • Depending on your keyword matching options, the search terms listed may be different from your keyword list. Use the report to find successful phrases that you can add to your keyword list. If your ad was triggered by less relevant searches, then add those phrases as negative keywords.
