Choose a payment method

 

A payment method is what you use to pay for AdWords. Depending on your country and currency, the available payment methods can vary. Below, you can learn how to use the payment methods available in your country. For a precise list of what's available for your country and currency, including which types of credit cards are accepted, visit the payment options tool.

Available payment methods

Bank account (also known as direct debit)

With this payment method, Google deducts your payments for AdWords from your bank account.

How it works

If you use the automatic payment setting, we'll automatically charge your bank account after you've accrued advertising costs. You'll be billed 30 days after your last automatic payment, or when your costs reach a certain amount (known as your billing threshold), whichever comes first.

If you use the manual payment setting, you can manually make a payment and we'll charge your bank account.

Setup

To use this payment method, you'll need to first save payment information in your AdWords account and then verify your bank account. This process will vary depending on your country. Here's how to set up a bank account as your payment method:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Billing settings link.
  4. Under the Your selections setting, click the Add a new payment method button.
  5. Select Bank account, fill out your bank information, and agree to the terms and conditions provided.
  6. To make this your primary payment method, make sure the box is checked next to Set this payment method as primary.
  7. Click the Save button.

What to expect

  • It can take several days to process your payment.
  • If your account is new, your ads will run once you've verified your bank account. If you'd like your ads to show in the meantime, you can use a credit card to pay for costs.
  • If your account isn't new, just assign your bank account as a primary payment method. Again, it'll work once your bank account is verified.
  • If you don't want your ads to run immediately after your bank account is verified, be sure to pause your campaigns.
  • Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your AdWords account.
Boleto bancário

With boleto bancário, you can make a manual payment for your AdWords costs.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need an AdWords account with a business address in Brazil, with the Brazilian Real (BRL) selected as your account's currency.

Setup

If you'd like to make a payment to your AdWords account using boleto bancário, follow these steps below after creating your account.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button. The minimum payment amount is 40 BRL.
  4. Select Boleto bancário. If you don't see it as an option, click the Add a new payment method link to see it.
  5. Select Boleto. Then, in the "Specify your payment amount" section, enter how much you'd like to make a payment for.
  6. Click the Create Boleto button. A boleto will be generated, which you can print or email.

What to expect

You can pay the boleto on the day it was generated, or schedule the payment for a more convenient date, keeping in mind the eight-day expiration period. If you miss this period, you can generate a new boleto and discard the old one.

Once you've submitted your boleto at your bank or your bank's online boleto payment page, your payment should be processed within about three business days. If you're making your first payment or your account was out of funds, your ads will typically start running at this point. Continue to make payments as needed in the future. You can issue and pay boletos in any amount over R$40.00.

Invoices and receipts

  • Invoices: You'll receive monthly invoices reflecting the charges accrued in your account each calendar month. Because you're only charged for the clicks that occurred on your ads in a given month, the amount in your invoice may be smaller than the amount you paid via boleto. Any remaining funds in your account can be used in ensuing months.
  • Receipts: Your receipt is issued on the last day of the month and sent to the AdWords account contact e-mail between the 5th and 10th business day of the following month.

You'll receive an email letting you know that the receipt was issued and that it's available on the City Government website. The letter includes the link, Corporate Taxpayers' Registry (CNPJ) of the service provider, the receipt number, and the verification code for accessing the receipt. It's important that you keep your registration information updated to avoid mail delivery problems.

Obtain a voucher

Receipts concern the services provided during a given month, and not the payment of a specific boleto. Each receipt is issued to collect the applicable taxes on the services provided.

As a result, this amount might differ from the amount deposited through the boleto. Please note, however, that all the funds remaining in your account can be used during the following months and will be included in the receipts related to the date on which the service was provided.

If you'd like to get a voucher of the total amount paid by bill, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Transaction history link on the side menu. (If you want to see the billing summary associated with a specific period, select the corresponding months and years on the drop down menu at the top of the page and click OK.)
  4. Click Payment Received for any line item that reflects a charge made to your account.
  5. On your browser menu, select File and Print.
  6. Click Print.

Keep in mind

  • Check your prepaid account balance regularly to make sure that you don't run out of funds. Make more payments as needed. When your Google AdWords prepayment balance is running low, we'll email you to let you know to make an additional payment.
  • You might be able to make payments at your local bank or online. Some banks accept boleto payments through their websites using the boleto reference number. Contact your bank to determine your options for paying a boleto.
  • Your bank shouldn't charge you a processing fee. However, if for some reason your bank imposes a fee or is unable to complete the transaction, another local bank may be able to provide more suitable options.

Delays

All paid boletos are processed within three business days. If your payment isn't reflected in your account after three days, please contact us and attach digital copies of your proof of payment and the respective boleto. The document must be legible and include your Customer ID and name. Once we have received your proof of payment, we will investigate the issue.

Credit cards and debit cards

In addition to certain types of credit cards, we also accept debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo. You can use a credit or debit card no matter if you're on automatic payments (you're automatically charged after your ads run) or manual payments (you put funds into your account before your ads run). Here's how to do it, based on the payment setting of your account:

Automatic payments

To use a credit or debit card on this payment setting, just add it to your AdWords account and make it your primary payment method. Click the appropriate link below:

Add a new credit card to your account
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now Billing tab

Manual payments

The manual payments setting isn't available for new accounts in the countries listed. If you can't see this option when signing up, please choose automatic payments to finish creating your account.

Make a payment with a one-time use credit card

In addition to regular credit cards, you can also use a one-time use credit card (also known as virtual credit card). It's commonly used as an alternative to physical credit cards when making online payments. AdWords accepts these credit cards as long as they have a Visa or MasterCard logo. If you don't have a physical credit card, contact your bank to see if they offer them.

Steps to use a one-time use credit card:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there nowBilling tab
  3. Click the Make a payment button. Make a payment
  4. Click the "Pay with" drop-down and choose Add new payment method, then enter your one-time use credit card information. Make a new payment
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to make a payment for, then click the Make a payment button to review and finish your payment. Be sure to include $1 more than your payment amount for card verification. Payment amount

What to expect

In some cases, AdWords may test a small charge on your card to make sure it's valid. You won't actually pay that test amount, but the amount of your payment will be reduced by it. For example, if you decide to charge $300 to your card, AdWords may make a test charge of $1 and your card will be charged $299 to run ads.

Just like physical credit cards, your ads will start serving almost immediately after you've made a payment.

Once your one-time use card's expiration date or credit limit is reached, be sure to generate another one-time use card and enter the information in your account for future payments. Otherwise, your payment could be declined. For all other payment declines, please contact your local banks.

Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your AdWords account.

Credit cards

You can use a credit card no matter if you're on automatic payments (you're automatically charged after your ads run) or manual payments (you put funds into your account before your ads run), as long as your credit card company or bank has approved the card for international use. If your account is set to manual payments, credit cards are not available as a payment method. However, you can pay using Banelco and PagoMisCuentas.com. See the link below for more information on how to make manual payments through Banelco.

Banelco and PagoMisCuentas.com

Making payments through Banelco and PagoMisCuentas.com is available only to AdWords accounts that have a billing address in Argentina and the Argentine Peso (ARS) as the selected currency. If you select Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com as your account's payment method, you'll be able to make payments in four ways:

  • At an ATM in the Banelco network
  • On the PagoMisCuentas.com website
  • Via your bank's online banking service
  • In the counters available for cash payments

After you choose this payment method, your AdWords account will be assigned a unique reference number. Make sure to include this number whenever making a payment so that we can match the funds to your account. Payments will typically reach your AdWords account within three to five business days.

Participating banks

To make a payment via Banelco, you must have an account with a bank in the Banelco network, except if you make cash payments in one of the available counters.

Make a payment via Banelco

The steps for making a payment vary based on whether you pay by ATM, website, your bank's online banking service, or at one of the counters for cash payments. You'll be able to use the first three options only if you have an account with a bank in the Banelco network. If you know your reference number, you don't need to sign in to your AdWords account first. Click one of the links below for details on making a payment.

The minimum payment amount per deposit is 30ARS. All applicable taxes will be deducted from your payment, and your account will be credited with the remaining balance within three to five business days.

Find your account's reference number

Your AdWords account has a unique reference number for use with Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com. You need to include this number when you make a payment so that we can match the funds to your account. If you don't include your reference number with your payment, your payment will be lost.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go to Billing
  3. Click Make a payment.
  4. Choose Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com from the drop-down.
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to pay and click Make a payment.
  6. The next screen will contain your reference number. Print this screen or write down your reference number for future use.
Banelco ATM

To make a Banelco ATM payment:

  1. Visit an ATM in the Banelco network.
  2. Enter your bank PIN.
  3. Select the Banelco Pago mis Cuentas payment method.
  4. Select option 6, Pay another Bill, and press confirm.
  5. Select option 12, Various services, and press confirm.
  6. Select the Other Options option 8 times.
  7. In Option 7, choose Google AdWords from a drop-down list of merchants.
  8. Enter the unique reference number you were assigned when you chose Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com as your payment method.
  9. Select the account from which you'd like to make your payment and enter the amount you'd like to pay. Remember that the minimum payment is 30ARS.
  10. Select Confirm.
PagoMisCuentas.com website

To make a PagoMisCuentas.com payment:

  1. Visit www.PagoMisCuentas.com.
  2. Sign in with your username and password (this will be the same username and password that you use on your bank's website).
  3. Select Google from a drop-down list of merchants in the "Other services" section. For subsequent payments, you can choose Google from a list of merchants who have recently received payments.
  4. Enter the unique reference number you were assigned when you chose Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com as your payment method.
  5. Click Make a payment and enter the amount you'd like to pay.
  6. Click Confirm.
Your bank's online banking homepage

The steps for making an online banking payment vary per bank. Please contact your bank for instructions.

Counters for cash payments

To make a payment at one the counters:

  1. Go to one of the counters available for cash payments in the PagoMisCuentas network. View a complete list of counters.
  2. Tell the cashier that you need to make a payment to a Google AdWords account.
  3. Tell the cashier your reference number (see the instructions above to find your reference number) and the amount you wish to pay. The minimum payment is 30ARS.

Your payment (minus the applicable taxes) will be credited to your account within three to five business days.

DineroMail

You can use DineroMail if your account is on the manual payments setting, has a billing address in Mexico, and has a selected currency of the Mexican Peso MXN).

With DineroMail, you can make payments in 5 ways:

  • Credit or debit card: Make a payment by credit or debit card in your account.
  • Referenced bank deposits: Make an AdWords payment by depositing funds at any of the following banks: Bancomer, Santander, Ixe Banco, and ScotiaBank/Inverlat. You do not need to have an account at the bank where you make the deposit.
  • Electronic bank transfer: Make an AdWords payment by initiating an electronic bank transfer with any of the following banks: Bancomer, Santander, Ixe Banco, and ScotiaBank/Inverlat. You must have an account at the bank where you initiate the transfer.
  • 7-Eleven convenience store payments: Make an AdWords cash payment at any 7-Eleven convenience store in Mexico. You'll be charged a convenience fee of $8 MXN.
  • OXXO convenience store: Make an AdWords cash payment at any OXXO convenience store in Mexico. You'll be charged a convenience fee of $8 MXN.

For any of these options, your AdWords balance will update within 3 to 5 working days and the minimum payment is $100 MXN.

All payments are processed by our payment partner DineroMail. Note that you do not need a DineroMail account to use this payment method.

How to make a payment by DineroMail
In case you're making an electronic bank transfer or a referenced bank deposit, please keep in mind that you will be making your DineroMail payment out to "Digicuenta SA de C"'.

To initiate a payment by DineroMail:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Select the gear icon and click Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Enter the amount you'd like to pay and click Make a payment. (The minimum payment amount is $100 MXN.)
  5. You'll be redirected to a page where you can choose the method you want to use to complete the payment, and further instructions will appear.
Credit card or debit card

To make a payment by credit card or debit card, just follow the instructions above and complete making your payment in your account.

Referenced bank deposit

Make an AdWords payment by depositing funds at any of the following banks: Bancomer, Santander, Ixe Banco, and ScotiaBank/Inverlat. You do not need to have an account at the bank where you make the deposit.

To make a referenced bank deposit payment:

  1. After you choose referenced bank deposit as your payment option, click Pay. A page containing further payment instructions and a list of reference numbers will appear, one for each participating bank.
  2. Print the page and take it to the bank.
  3. Make the deposit, being sure to include the appropriate reference number. If you don't, we won't be able to match the payment to your AdWords account.

Your AdWords balance will update within three to five business days (as long as you include the reference number). Make sure to save your reference number and any other payment documents until your balance has updated.

Electronic bank transfer

Make an AdWords payment by initiating an electronic bank transfer with any of the following banks: Bancomer, Santander, Ixe Banco, and ScotiaBank/Inverlat.

To make an electronic bank transfer payment:

  1. After you choose electronic bank transfer as your payment option, click Pay. A page containing further payment instructions and a list of reference numbers will appear, one for each participating bank.
  2. Visit your bank's website and initiate the electronic bank transfer, being sure to include the appropriate reference number. If you don't, we won't be able to match the payment to your AdWords account.

Your AdWords balance will update within three to five business days (as long as you include the reference number). Make sure to save your reference number and any other payment documents until your balance has updated.

7-Eleven convenience store

To make an AdWords cash payment at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Mexico:

  1. After you choose 7-Eleven convenience store as your payment option, click Pay. A coupon containing payment instructions and a bar code will appear.
  2. Print out the coupon and bring it to a 7-Eleven.
  3. Visit the cashier and make a cash payment for the amount you indicated. Make sure the cashier scans the bar code on the coupon or we won't be able to match the payment to your AdWords account.

Your AdWords balance will update within three to five business days of making the payment. Make sure to save your coupon and any other payment documents until your balance has updated.

Note that 7-Eleven will charge you a convenience fee of $8 MXN in addition to the payment amount. For example, say you want to add $100 MXN to your Google AdWords balance. You'll need to give the cashier $108 MXN, of which $100 MXN will be sent to Google.

OXXO convenience store

To make an AdWords cash payment at an OXXO convenience store in Mexico:

  1. After you choose OXXO convenience store as your payment option, click Pay. A coupon containing payment instructions and a bar code will appear.
  2. Print out the coupon and bring it to an OXXO.
  3. Visit the cashier and make a cash payment for the amount you indicated. Make sure the cashier scans the bar code on the coupon or we won't be able to match the payment to your AdWords account.

Your AdWords balance will update within three to five business days. Make sure to save your coupon and any other payment documents until your balance has updated.

Note that OXXO will charge you a convenience fee of $8 MXN in addition to the payment amount. For example, say you want to add $100 MXN to your Google AdWords balance. You'll need to give the cashier $108 MXN, of which $100 MXN will be sent to Google.

Credit card

You can use a credit card for automatic payments (you're automatically charged after your ads run) or manual payments (you put funds into your account before your ads run). To add a credit card to your account, you'll first register your card and then verify it with your bank to ensure online security.

Register, verify, make payments with, or remove your credit card

On August 1, 2009, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) started requiring all online credit card transactions to be processed using enhanced security procedures. This extra step, which includes credit card verification, helps ensure that your credit card isn't misused.

You can complete this step when you add a credit card to your AdWords account. We'll help you connect with your bank to authenticate your credit card, and we'll confirm whether or not it was successful. Click the links below to see steps for the following:

Register and verify your card
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Billing settings link.
  4. Click the Add new payment method button.
  5. Select the Credit card button.
  6. Enter your credit card information.
  7. Click the Continue button. A pop-up message will appear, asking for permission to send you to your bank's website to verify your credit card.
  8. Click the Verify credit card button to continue.
  9. A new browser window will open, sending you to the bank that issued your credit card. The steps to verify your card varies by bank, but you might see a purchase amount for INR 2.00. This is just a temporary authorization, not an actual charge.
  10. If you successfully verified your card, you'll see a message letting you know. Close the window to move on to your AdWords account.
  11. You'll be taken to your Billing settings page, where you'll see your credit card information.

The verification process typically takes a few minutes, and you only have to do it once when you first add a credit card to your account. Registered credit cards can be used for both automatic and manual payments.

Make a manual payment with your credit card

Usually, once you've made a payment, it's immediately processed. But it can take up to 24 hours to be credited on your account.

Remove a card from your account

  4. Then find the credit card that you'd like to remove. Just remember that you can't remove a credit card used as your primary payment method until you've added a new payment method and designated that as your primary.

What to expect (automatic payments)

If you've set up your account on the automatic payments setting and registered a credit card, you'll be charged after your ads run and you accrue advertising costs. Once you add a credit card as a primary payment method to your account, the card's automatically charged after your advertising costs reach a predetermined amount or 30 days after your last automatic charge, whichever comes first.

Credit cards and debit cards

In addition to certain types of credit cards, we also accept debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo. You can use a credit or debit card if you're on automatic payments (you're automatically charged after your ads run). Connection problems and payments

If you don't see your payment credited to your account within two or three hours, it's possible that the online connection between your bank and GlobalCollect was interrupted. This happens sometimes, unfortunately. If it does, click the link below to see more information:

More on interrupted connections

Here's what you can expect, based on the type of connection interruption you encounter:

  • Temporary interruption: GlobalCollect will receive a payment notice from your bank but the connection to Google might be interrupted. You won't receive an error message, but your payment will be applied to your AdWords account after it's been processed. This can take as long as five days.
  • Permanent interruption: You'll receive an error message about an unsuccessful payment. If you want, you can make a non-real time bank transfer to GlobalCollect, which can take five to 10 business days before being credited to your account.
Convenience store or Pay Easy

With this option, you can make a manual payment at a large number of convenience store chains, at Pay Easy ATMs, or by online bank transfer -- all offered by Wellnet, our trusted payment partner. Your payment will be credited to your account typically within three business days.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need an AdWords account with a business address in Japan, with the Japanese Yen (JPY) selected as your account's currency.

  3. Click Make a payment.
  4. Enter the amount you'd like to pay in the available field. The minimum manual payment amount is 500 INR.
  5. Click Go.
  6. A window will pop up that directs to the TimesofMoney site. Choose your bank name from the drop-down menu and click Submit.
  7. You'll be directed to your bank's website and will need to follow the instructions on your bank's website to make a payment.

Be sure to make another payment before your manual payment is exhausted. We'll send you an email when 30% of your funds are left, to help you make sure your ads keep running.

What to expect

Your account balance will typically update within 48 hours of making a payment. At that point, your ads will typically start running if they weren't already.

To use this payment method, you'll need a bank account that's part of the GiroPay network. Also, you'll need an AdWords account with a business address in Germany, with the Euro (EUR) selected as your account's currency.

BPAY

BPAY is a payment method that can be used on the manual payment setting. With BPAY, you can make payments online or over the phone, and your payments will be credited to your AdWords account typically within two to three business days.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need a bank account that's part of the BPAY network. Also, you'll need an AdWords account with a business address in Australia, with the Australian Dollar (AUD) selected as your account's currency.

  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click Make Payments.
  4. Select BPAY. If you don't see BPAY as an option, click the "Pay with" drop-down and choose Add new payment method. Then select BPAY.
  5. Write down the biller code and reference number that appear.
  6. Sign in to your bank's website or call your phone banking service.
  7. Select the BPAY or bill payment option and follow the instructions to make a payment. You can make a payment of any amount higher than AUD 10.
  8. Record your receipt number when you're done. Save this until the funds have transferred to your AdWords account, which typically takes two to three business days.

What to expect

Your manual payment should be credited to your AdWords account within two to three business days. If this hasn't happened after three business days, read the section below for troubleshooting tips.

Backup credit cards

If you're on automatic payments and your primary payment method doesn't work for some reason, a backup credit card makes sure your ads keep running.

Here's how to set up a backup credit card:

  1. Sign in to your account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go to Billing
  3. Click the Billing settings link.
  4. In the Your selections section, click Add a new payment method.
  5. Fill out your payment information, then click Save.
  6. When you're directed back to the "Billing settings" page, find the credit card you just added and click the Set as Back up link.
ASSIST

ASSIST is our secure payment partner in Russia. With ASSIST, you can make manual payments to your AdWords account using your bank card, WebMoney, or Yandex.Money.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need an AdWords account with a billing address in Russia and Russian Ruble (RUB) selected as your currency.

Paying through ASSIST

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Make sure ASSIST is selected, specify your payment amount, and then click Make a payment. The minimum payment amount is 100 RUB.
  5. You’ll then be taken to the ASSIST website. Follow the on-screen instructions until you’re taken back to your AdWords account.
ASSIST saved bank card

If paying with a bank card with ASSIST, you'll get the option to save your details so you can make future bank card payments without visiting ASSIST. With this payment option, Google doesn't store any of your bank card information.

During your first payment with ASSIST, you'll see a dialog box that says "If you pay by bank card, save it for future payments?" Select Yes to save your bank card with ASSIST.

Paying through ASSIST saved bank card

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Make sure "ASSIST saved bank card" is selected, specify your payment amount, and then click Make a payment. The minimum payment amount is 100 RUB.
  5. You'll get a chance to review your payment details. Then click Make payment.
Important: Any person with administrative or standard access to your AdWords account will be able to make a payment with the ASSIST saved bank card.

How long it takes

ASSIST payments can take up to 24 hours to process after ASSIST sends you an email.

If it's been over 24 hours since you made the payment, and you still don't see your payment reflected in your account, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Common error messages

ASSIST may occasionally give an error message. Here’s how to resolve the most common issues:

Error message: AUTHORIZATION DENIED. Timed out waiting for payment instrument information.

What to do:

  • This message usually means that you didn’t finish entering your payment information within the allotted 15 minutes. If this is the case, just try your payment again.
  • This message can also be related to a problem with your browser settings. If you entered your payment information within the allotted 15 minutes but still got this message, try your payment again using a different type of browser.

 

Error message: AUTHORIZATION DENIED or no reason provided by your financial institution.

What to do: This message usually means that a system failure occurred, that your payment information wasn’t valid, or that your bank declined your payment. However, sometimes your payment might go through despite receiving this error message. We suggest that you:

  1. Check whether the payment has reached your account before trying to make another payment.
  2. Contact your bank to see whether the payment was declined. If it was, resolve the reason for the decline with them before making another payment.

 

Error message: Account link is broken

What to do: This message usually means that the bank card you saved in your account has expired or has incorrect details. We suggest that you:

  1. Click the Billing settings link on the side of the page.
  2. In the "Available payment methods" section, find "ASSIST" and click Remove.
  3. Click the Transaction history link on the side of the page. Click Make a payment and try your payment again. You'll need to provide your bank card details and you'll have the option to save them for future use.

 

Error message: Insufficient funds

What to do: This message usually means that the payer's account doesn't have enough money to make the payment. In this case, add money to your ASSIST account and try your payment again.

Funds transfer

This payment method is exactly what it sounds like: you add money to your AdWords account by transferring money to Google. Click the link below to see how to set it up for your account.

Set up funds transfer for your account
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Select Funds transfer.
  5. Enter the amount of money you'd like to transfer into your AdWords account. Keep in mind that the minimum payment amount is 100 RUB.
  6. Click Make a payment.
  7. Print this page and take it to your bank. If you cannot print it, write the Google Bank Account Details and take them to your bank. The Google bank account number is unique to your AdWords account and will be needed when you conduct the transfer at your bank. If you plan on transferring funds to several AdWords accounts, you'll need unique Google Bank Account Details for each one.
Important
  • You must include unique Google Bank Account Details for each AdWords account for which you'd like to make a funds transfer. Otherwise, we cannot process your payment.
  • Make sure the Google Bank Account Details you include are correct. If you include the wrong Google Bank Account Details, your payment may go to someone else's AdWords account. We won't be able to reverse or transfer the payment to the correct account.
Get a pro forma invoice

You can get a pro forma invoice before initiating a funds transfer only if you meet these criteria:

  • You signed up for AdWords as a legal entity (Individual entrepreneur or Business).
  • Your account uses manual payments by funds transfer.
  • Your account has a Russian billing address.

The pro forma invoice will contain details about your intended payment and the service that AdWords provides.

Here’s how to get a pro forma invoice:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Verify that you’re signed in to the account that you'd like to add funds to.
  3. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  4. Click Make a payment.
  5. In the "Pro Forma Invoice" section, fill in the amount that you're planning to pay and click Create invoice.
  6. Print this page and take it to your bank. If you can’t print it, write down the Google Bank Account Details and take them to your bank. This number is unique to your AdWords account and will be needed when you conduct the transfer at your bank. If you plan on transferring funds to several AdWords accounts, you'll need unique Google Bank Account Details for each one.

Note

Pro forma invoices are not stored in your account and are not proof of payment. Once you complete a payment by funds transfer, a receipt will be available on your Transaction history page. To get there, click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now

VAT invoices and Act of Acceptance documents will automatically be sent to legal entities each month.

What to expect

Once we receive your funds transfer, your ads will typically start running if they had stopped or if this is your first payment. If you're refreshing your balance, your ads will continue running.

Processing time: 2 - 3 business days, depending on your location. In some cases, it can take up to 10 days. That's because a funds transfer depends on a few factors, including local bank processes. Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your AdWords account.

Yandex.Money is our secure payment partner in Russia. With Yandex.Money, you can make manual payments directly to your AdWords account using your Yandex.Money wallet.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need:

  • an AdWords account with a billing address in Russia and Russian Ruble (RUB) selected as your currency
  • a Yandex.Money account linked to your AdWords account. You'll need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window
Important: A Yandex.Money account can be linked to only one AdWords account. If the Yandex.Money account is already linked to another AdWords account, it'll be automatically unlinked when you set up the new link.

Paying through Yandex.Money

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Make sure Yandex.Money is selected, specify your payment amount, and then click Make a payment. The minimum payment amount is 100 RUB.
  5. You’ll then be taken to the Yandex.Money website. Follow the on-screen instructions until you’re taken back to your AdWords account. (You'll need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window.)
  6. You'll get a chance to review your payment details. Then click Make payment.

How long it takes

Your payments can take up to 24 hours to process after Yandex.Money sends you an email. If it's been over 24 hours since you made the payment, and you still don't see your payment reflected in your account, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Common error messages

Yandex.Money may occasionally give an error message. Here’s how to resolve the most common issues:

Error message: Account link is broken

What to do: This message usually means that your Yandex.Money account isn't linked, or that the linkage expired or was revoked. We suggest that you:

  1. Click the Billing settings link on the side of the page.
  2. In the "Available payment methods" section, find "Yandex.Money" and click Remove.
  3. Click the Transaction history link on the side of the page. Click Make a payment and try your payment again. You'll be prompted to re-link your account.

 

Error message: Insufficient funds

  • This message usually means that the payer's account doesn't have enough money to make the payment. In this case, add money to your Yandex.Money account and try your payment again.
  • This message can also be shown if your payment exceeded certain Yandex.Money restrictions. For example, your Yandex.Money wallet settings might have a daily limit set on the amount or number of payments. We suggest that you:
    1. Click the Billing settings link on the side of the page.
    2. In the "Available payment methods" section, find "Yandex.Money" and click Remove.
    3. Click the Transaction history link on the side of the page.
    4. Click Make a payment and try your payment again. You'll be prompted to re-link your account. Take the opportunity to change the payment restrictions for Google AdWords on the "Request for access" page in your Yandex.Money account.

 

Error message: No reason provided by your financial institution

What to do: This message usually means that a system failure occurred or that your payment information wasn’t valid. However, sometimes your payment might go through despite receiving this error message. We suggest that you:

  1. Check your Yandex.Money wallet to see whether the payment was declined. If it was, resolve the reason for the decline with Yandex.Money before making another payment.
  2. Check whether the payment has reached your AdWords account before trying to make another payment.
Qiwi

Qiwi is our secure payment partner in Russia. With Qiwi, you can make manual payments to your AdWords account using your Qiwi wallet.

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need:

  • an AdWords account with a billing address in Russia and Russian Ruble (RUB) selected as your currency
  • Qiwi wallet

Paying through Qiwi

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now

  4. Make sure Qiwi is selected, and provide the phone number that you used to register your Qiwi account.
  5. Specify your payment amount, then click Make a payment. The minimum payment amount is 100 RUB.
  6. You’ll then be taken to the Qiwi website. Follow the on-screen instructions until you’re taken back to your AdWords account. (You'll need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window.)

Funds transfer

With funds transfer, you can add money to your AdWords account by transferring money from your bank account.

Making a funds transfer

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button. Make sure Bank transfer is selected and then click Review payment.
  4. You’ll see a bank name, unique virtual bank account number, and recipient. Print out the information on this page and take it to your bank to complete your bank transfer.

If you prefer, you can also complete your bank transfer online by going to your bank’s website and transferring the funds to the unique virtual bank account number.

How long it takes

It usually takes two to five business days to process your transfer, depending on your bank. Keep all records of your payment until you see that it's reached your AdWords account.

Once we receive your funds transfer, we'll send you an email. You ads will typically start running at that point if they weren’t already.

If your payment isn’t showing

If you're worried that your funds transfer is taking too long, there are a couple things you can do to check that your payment is on its way:

How long it takes

It usually takes a few minutes to process your bank card payment, but in some cases, it might take up to one business day. Once your account balance is updated, you ads will then start running if they weren’t already.

If your payment isn’t showing

If it's been over one business day since you made the payment and you still don't see your payment reflected in your account, contact us and we’ll be happy to help. You’ll be asked to include the following information:

  • Proof of payment from ChinaPay
  • Your AdWords account email and Customer ID that appears at the top of your AdWords account
Credit card

You can use a credit or debit card only if you signed up for credit card when you created your AdWords account and your credit card company or bank has approved the card for international use. To use a credit card, add it to your AdWords account and if you're on automatic payments, make it your primary payment method. Click the appropriate link below:

  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now Billing tab
  3. Click Billing settings. Billing settings
  4. Under the Your selections heading, click Add a new payment method. New form of payment

  6. For automatic payment setting only: To make this your primary payment method, make sure the box is checked next to Set this payment method as primary.
  7. Click Save.
Edit information for an existing credit card in your account
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there nowBilling tab
  3. Click the Billing settings link. Billing settings
  4. Under the Your selections setting, find the payment method that you'd like to edit. Then, click Edit. Edit form of payment

Backup credit cards (for automatic payments setting)

If your account is set to automatic payments and your primary credit card doesn't work for some reason, a backup credit card makes sure your ads keep running. Keep in mind that the card has to be approved for international use by your bank or credit card company, otherwise it won’t work.

  4. In the Your selections section, click Add a new payment method.
  5. Fill out your payment information, then click Save.
  6. When you're directed back to the Billing settings page, find the credit card you just added and click the Select as... drop-down menu.
  7. Select Backup.
  8. Click Save.
Funds transfer

With funds transfer, you can add money to your AdWords account by transferring money from your bank account. You can use this payment method only if you signed up for it when you created your AdWords account.

Making a payment by funds transfer
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button. Make sure Funds transfer is selected, then click Make a payment.
  4. You'll see options for two different types of funds transfers: ATM or online bank transfers, and offline bank transfers.
  5. If you make your bank transfer online or by using an ATM, use the unique virtual bank account number and bank code in the Option 1 instructions. ATM payments have an NT$30,000.00 per-day or per-transaction limit, depending on the ATM.
  6. If you make your bank transfer offline (by visiting a bank branch in person), use the customer name, unique virtual bank account number, beneficiary name, and beneficiary bank and branch name in the Option 2 instructions.

It's important that you make all bank transfer payments using the exact information listed on the instructions. If you don't, we may not receive your payment or may not be able to match the payment to your AdWords account.

What to expect

Once we receive your funds transfer, we'll send you an email. You ads will typically start running then if they had stopped or if this is your first payment. If you're refreshing your balance, your ads will continue running.

Processing time: 2-5 business days, depending on your location. In some cases, it can take up to 30 days. That's because a funds transfer depends on a few factors, including local bank processes. Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your AdWords account.

Delays

If you're worried that your funds transfer is taking too long, there are a couple things you can do to check that your payment is on its way:

  • Check that your funds have been withdrawn from your bank account. If they haven't, contact your bank.
  • Check with your bank that the funds were transferred to the correct account. The account number should be the same as the one listed in our payment instructions (generated when you made a funds transfer payment in your AdWords account).

If it's been over 1 week since you initiated the transfer and you still don't see your payment reflected in your account, you can contact us. How to include a valid proof of payment

A valid proof of payment follows these guidelines:

  • It can be a scanned copy of your receipt or a screenshot of your bank's online statement.
  • It must be in an uneditable format, such as .jpg, .gif, or .png.
  • It must include the following information:
    • The date the transfer was made. If possible, show all transactions for five days before and after the payment.
    • The amount and currency of the payment.
    • The beneficiary of the funds (that's Google AdWords).
    • The name of the remitting bank.
  • For your security, please black out any sensitive information on your bank or credit card statement, particularly your entire bank account number or the middle 8 digits of your credit card number.
Convenience store

With convenience store payments, you can add money to your AdWords account by paying at any 7-Eleven location in Taiwan. You can use this payment method only if you signed up for it when you created your AdWords account.

Making a convenience store payment
  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button. Make sure convenience store payment is selected, enter your payment amount, then click Make a payment.
  4. The next page contains payment information. Print out this page, take it to a 7-Eleven location, and follow its instructions to complete your payment.

What to expect

It may take up to 5 business days to process your payment. Keep all records of your payment until you see that it's reached your AdWords account.

Post office

With post office payments, you can add money to your AdWords account by paying at any Chunghwa Post office in Taiwan. You can use this payment method only if you signed up for it when you created your AdWords account.

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button. Make sure post office payment is selected, enter your payment amount, then click Make a payment.
  4. The next page contains payment information. Print out this page, take it to a post office, and follow its instructions to complete your payment.

What to expect

It may take up to 5 business days to process your payment. Keep all records of your payment until you see that it's reached your AdWords account.

Once we receive your payment, we'll send you an email. You ads will typically start running at that point if they weren’t already.

Bank transfer

Bank transfer allows you to make payments via bank transfer, either online or in person at your bank or post office. The funds typically will be credited to your account within 5 business days of initiating a payment. Your ads will typically start running at that point, if they weren't already.

Here's how to make a payment by bank transfer:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Select Bank transfer.
  5. Enter the amount you'd like to make a payment for, keeping in mind that the minimum payment is UAH 200.
  6. Click Make a payment.
  7. You'll be taken to a page that contains your payment information, the Google Bank Account Details, and a pro forma invoice. Print the page and take it with you to the bank. If you can't print it, write down the Google Bank Account Details and take them to your bank. The Google Bank Account Details are unique to your AdWords account and will be needed when you conduct the transfer at your bank. If you plan on transferring funds to several AdWords accounts, you'll need unique Google Bank Account Details for each one.

Note

  • Include unique Google Bank Account Details for each AdWords account for which you'd like to make a bank transfer. Otherwise, we can't process your payment.
  • Make sure the Google Bank Account Details you include are correct. If you include the wrong Google Bank Account Details, your payment may go to someone else's AdWords account. We won't be able to reverse or transfer the payment to the correct account.
  • All applicable taxes will be subtracted from your prepayment.
  • Please keep all records of a payment until you see that the funds have reached your AdWords account. This typically takes up to 5 business days.
Get a pro forma invoice or other documents

You can get a pro forma invoice before initiating a bank transfer only if your account uses manual payments by bank transfer and has a Ukrainian billing address. The pro forma invoice has details about your intended payment and the service that AdWords provides. Pro forma invoices are not proof of payment.

Pro forma invoices are generated each time you click the "Make a payment" button in all accounts. The pro forma invoice is part of the page you can print and take to your bank (step 7 above). However, they're stored and available for download only for accounts with "Legal entity" or "Individual entrepreneur" tax status. Here's how to find your pro forma invoices:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go there now
  3. You'll find your pro forma invoice in the table, under the month the payment was received.

Other documents

  • VAT invoices will be automatically mailed to VAT-registered Legal entities and VAT-registered Individual entrepreneurs after each payment.
  • Acts of Acceptance will be automatically mailed to all Legal entities and Individual entrepreneurs each month.
  • VAT invoices and Acts of Acceptance are also available for downloading on your "Transaction history" page. To get there, click the gear icon and choose Billing.

PayPal

You can use PayPal for automatic payments (you're automatically charged after your ads run) or manual payments (you put funds into your account before your ads run).

Requirements

To use this payment method, you'll need:

  1. An AdWords account with one of the following billing address and currency combinations:
    • Indonesian billing address with United States Dollars (USD)
    • Philippines billing address with Philippine Pesos (PHP) or United States Dollars (USD)
    • Chinese billing address with United States Dollars (USD)
  2. A PayPal account linked to your AdWords account. You'll need to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window.

Find your payment method below for instructions on how to make payments through PayPal.

Automatic payments

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go to Billing
  3. Click Billing settings.
  4. Under the "Your selections" heading, click Add a new payment method.
  5. Select PayPal and click Save.
  6. You’ll then be taken to the PayPal website. Follow the on-screen instructions until you’re brought back to your AdWords account. (Remember to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window.)
  7. To make this your primary payment method, click the Set as primary link next to PayPal in the list of available payment methods.

Manual payments

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account.
  2. Click the gear icon and choose Billing. Go to Billing
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Make sure PayPal is selected, specify your payment amount, and then click Make a payment. The minimum payment amount is 10 USD or 600 PHP.
  5. You’ll then be taken to the PayPal website. Follow the on-screen instructions until you’re brought back to your AdWords account. (Remember to disable your browser's pop-up blocker to see the new window.)
  6. Review your payment details. Then click Make payment.

How long it takes

Your payments can take up to 24 hours to process after PayPal sends you an email. If it's been over 24 hours since you made the payment, and you still don't see your payment reflected in your account, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Common error messages

PayPal may occasionally give an error message. Here’s how to resolve the most common issues:

Error message: Your account link is broken

What to do: This message usually means that your PayPal account isn't linked, or that the link expired or was revoked. We suggest that you:

  1. Click the gear icon and choose Billing.
  2. Click the Billing settings link on the left side of the page.
  3. In the "Available payment methods" section, find "PayPal" and click Remove.
  4. Click the Transaction history link on the side of the page. Click Make a payment and try your payment again. You'll be prompted to re-link your account.

 

Error message: Insufficient funds

What to do: This message usually means that the payer's account doesn't have enough money to make the payment. In this case, add money to your PayPal account and try your payment again. This message can also be shown if your payment exceeded certain PayPal restrictions. For example, your PayPal wallet settings might have a daily limit set on the amount or number of payments. We suggest that you:

  1. Click the gear icon and choose Billing.
  2. Click the Billing settings link on the left side of the page.
  3. In the "Available payment methods" section, find "PayPal" and click Remove.
  4. Click the Transaction history link on the side of the page.
  5. Click Make a payment and try your payment again. You'll be prompted to re-link your account. Take the opportunity to change the payment restrictions for Google AdWords on the "Request for access" page in your PayPal account.

 

Error message: No reason provided by your financial institution

What to do: This message usually means that a system failure occurred or that your payment information wasn’t valid. However, sometimes your payment might go through despite receiving this error message. We suggest that you:

  1. Check your PayPal wallet to see whether the payment was declined. If it was, resolve the problem with PayPal before making another payment.
  2. Check whether the payment has reached your AdWords account before trying to make another payment.

Keep in mind

Some payment methods can't be used with foreign currencies. If you're paying in a foreign currency, check our payment options to see which payment methods can be used with your currency.
