Change your email address for notifications
Any email address that has access to an account can receive notifications. You can change which email addresses receive notifications by first adding your preferred notification email address, then removing the email address you no longer want to use.
Remember, though, each AdWords account must have at least one email address associated with it, and any email address on an AdWords account will be able to receive some critical notifications.
Two ways you can change email addresses for notifications
You can change email addresses by:
- Changing the account username you use to sign in to your account (this is not an option if you use Gmail).
- Giving access to your AdWords account to another Google Account, then remove access for the current email address you use.
In addition, if you want to send notifications to an email address that is not associated with a Google Account, you can give email-only access to this email address.
If you don't use Gmail, you can change the email address for your account. When you do this, we'll send AdWords notifications to the new email address. However, this change will affect all Google products you use, so other Google products will instead send emails to this email address and you'll have to sign in to all products using this email address.
You can share your AdWords account with other Google Accounts that don't already have access to AdWords.
If you have an email address where you want to receive notifications, and it's not already being used for a Google Account, then all you need to do is create a new Google Account with that email address and give it access to your AdWords account. Once you've created the new Google Account, remove access for your current email address so you no longer get notifications at that email address. However, once you remove access you'll no longer be able to view or edit your AdWords account with that email address.
