Share images of your screen

If you'd like to take a snapshot of what you're seeing on your computer screen (screenshot), it's a simple process that can even help the AdWords team troubleshoot your questions if you're having issues with your account. Here's what you do:

Google Chrome

  1. Visit the Google Chrome store and download the Chrome extension called 'Screen Capture (by Google)'.
  2. Select the screen capture icon that appears in the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. Select the last option from the drop-down menu, Capture Whole Page (Command+Alt+H).
  4. You may edit your screen capture by selecting any of the icons that appear in the editing menu bar near the top of your screen. Once you are satisfied with your image, select Save
  5. .
  6. Enter what you would like to name your screen capture in the 'Save As' field and where you would like to save it in the 'Where' field. Select Save.This will save the image to your desired location as a .PNG file.

Microsoft Windows

  1. Bring the browser window to be captured to the foreground.
  2. Hold the 'Alt' key and press the 'Print Screen' key (often just labeled 'Prt Sc') on your keyboard.
  3. Open an image editing application such as MS Paint program under Start > Accessories.
  4. Paste the captured image into the application.
  5. Save the image as a JPEG (.JPG) file.

Macintosh OSX

  1. Bring the browser window to be captured to the foreground.
  2. Press Command+Shift+3. This will save the image to your desktop as a .PNG file.

You can then keep the image for reference or attach it to an email message.
