E.U. election ads verification

Google requires verification for advertisers who want to run election ads in the European Union. This verification is required for all ad formats and extensions. Learn more about verification for election advertising in the EU.

The form below is the first step of the verification process. With the information you provide, Google will verify your eligibility to run election ads in the European Union.

Important: 

  • Each account only needs to complete this verification once.
  • If you’re an agency or someone who manages multiple Google Ads accounts, each account planning to run election ads will need to apply for verification.
Note: If you are an agency or someone who manages multiple Google Ads accounts, please do not enter the Customer ID for your Google Ads Manager Account. Please enter the Customer ID for the individual account you manage that is applying for verification. Learn how to find your Google Ads customer ID
Please enter a valid Google Ads customer ID ex. 123-456-7890
You must be an authorized representative of your organization in order to complete the verification process. To be an authorized representative, you need to be a full-time employee of the organization, or if applicable, a representative of the agency representing the organization.
Note that this must exactly match the name on the government-issued photo ID you submit.
Provide the email address used by your organization
If you’re running election ads, note that this name will be visible in your election ad’s “Paid for by” disclosure, as well as in the Political Advertising transparency report and the political ads library. This must match the name of your organization exactly as it appears on any documents you submit, including any capitalization or punctuation.  Learn more
For example: business registration number or incorporation number.
Some examples of acceptable documents include: Registration for the 2019 EU Parliamentary Election; incorporation certificates; articles or memorandum of incorporation or association, election proposals, pacts, registers, or statements of acceptance of nomination; confirmation certificates from official government authority; receipts or copies of court or other authority rulings or decisions on registrations; bank, credit card, or insurance statements or letters or leasing or mortgage documents.
This must be an EU-based address, and match the address in the proof of address you submit
Acceptable proof of address documents include documents listed above under “Document confirming organization name” as well as invoices, purchase orders, utility bills, bank, credit card, or insurance statements or letters, leasing or mortgage documents. It should be dated within the last year.
Note: If the address is included in the registration documents submitted above, no further documents are needed.
