Reorganisation of Destination Requirements and Editorial policies (March 2017)

Google provides translated versions of our Help Centre, though they are not meant to change the content of our policies. The English version is the official language that we use to enforce our policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language drop-down at the bottom of the page.

In March 2017 we will rename and reorganise some of our Google Ads policies and pages for improved readability and understanding. All policy actions and corresponding messaging to Google Ads advertisers will include updated policy names. Note that these changes will not impact what is currently restricted or prohibited per policy.

Some examples of what’s changing:

Advertisers will find that some of our policies, such as Insufficient Original Content, that are currently under the Abusing the Ad Network policy will be enforced under the Destination Requirements policy after the reorganisation.

Some of the guidelines for Unclear Content under the Editorial policy will be distributed and enforced under Style and Spelling and Unidentified Business policies.
