In November 2016, we will rename and reorganise our ad format policies for improved readability and understanding. Certain policy actions and corresponding messaging to Google Ads advertisers will include updated policy names. These changes, however, will not impact what is currently restricted or prohibited per our policies.
Examples of what’s changing
Most of the technical specifications for ad formats will be moved from the Google Ads Policy Help Centre to the Google Ads Help Centre/1} after the reorganisation. For example, technical specifications for Image ads will be available on the Google Ads Help Centre.
Some format policies will be split out into separate policy topics to aid in advertiser troubleshooting. For example, the "Use accurate and current reviews" policy in Review extensions will be renamed and split into Inaccurate Reviews and Outdated Reviews policy topics.
