Advertiser claims: Calls-to-action

Google provides translated versions of our Help Centre, though they are not meant to change the content of our policies. The English version is the official language that we use to enforce our policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language drop-down at the bottom of the page.

The Google Ads policy on Advertiser Claims will be updated on 15 October, 2012. The policy is being updated to provide additional examples of landing pages that do not reflect what is being advertised in the ad text. Specifically, we are clarifying that users must be able to perform an ad's call-to-action (if the ad includes any) on the site, within 15 or 2 clicks of the landing page.

See a preview of the updated policy on advertiser claims, which will replace the current policy on 15 October.

The change will affect all advertisers in all countries. We'll send notifications to affected advertisers. We made this decision in order to protect user experience by ensuring that ads are truthful and accurate.
